and you shouldn't leave it lying around on the stairs in the dark under human feet, then go all hurt and indignant and pitiful when it gets trodden on?

And it really isn't worth a whole packet of dreamies to get back in you good books?

I'm the happy slave of three cats, but the newest addition is a "feral" cat who, upon arrival mid last year, was a little 3.5 kg bundle of terrified tabby.

He's now 8 kg, and insists on being carried around the house like a baby or else he walks under your feet crying until he's picked up and carried.

I remind him regularly that he used to have to hunt for his dinner and sleep outside.

Mum has a demanding ferrel outside cat. She turned up a year ago pg and living under the porch. After she gave birth Mum got her spayed and rehomed the kittens (minus the v adorable runt who's now the resident house kitten 😍!). You can't come or go from the house without outside cat demanding food, which she's given! She knows the sound of the car and comes running when we come home. She's clearly not "ours", but we're clearly hers.

Have you pondered @KiwiChch that the entire enterprise may simply have been a brilliantly planned and executed scheme by Dcat?

He's nailed it and probably giving advice via Insta to other "waifs and strays" and raking in millions.

You'll never actually know, will you?

If that had been our JRT he’d have had your ankle. He’s a grumpy bugger. If it had been the springer, she’d have prostrated herself on the floor and begged forgiveness for being in the way.

Fred has been showing me what a good boy he is. He keeps his tail under control even when he's in bed

@RumNotRun Fred is so well trained..what a good boy to keep his tail under his paw...does he have one black foot? Or does that black paw belong to another good boy?

The black paw is owned by Toad (also known as Toby or Tobias when he's naughty) who is definitely not a good boy. Toad frequently attacks his own tail and gives no fucks as to what or who is in the way.

Sweetpea1532 · 30/03/2023 08:46

😂 Toad is such a character..I love the way he just had to stick his paw near Fred...like I used to do to my big sister to irritate her

If one of my cats is insulted in any way, or a human foot comes within a metre of his tail, he will make the most pitiful sound, and then pointedly stalk up to the cupboard where the dreamies live and bang on the door. If that fails to get attention he will jump on to the coffee table and look you dead in the eye as he kicks your drink off the table.
This us the sort of vengeance that may await you, hooman slave!

OMG, I wonder the exact same every time one of my 3 decide to stand, sit, lay down or walk behind me while I am getting their food ready when they know fine well I will step back to put the bowls down.
They get a paw or tail stepped on 99.9% of the time. I always apologise for stepping on them then remind them to stop waiting behind me while I’m preparing their food.
I can only be so mindful as I don’t have eyes in the back of my head & I need to see what I am doing when I am putting food in their bowls… lol
