and you shouldn't leave it lying around on the stairs in the dark under human feet, then go all hurt and indignant and pitiful when it gets trodden on?

And it really isn't worth a whole packet of dreamies to get back in you good books?

Last time DH did this to our tail owner she pissed in his sock drawer 😆

RattlewhenIwalk · 24/03/2023 18:46

I reckon you'll be seeing the tail until a cat's worth of Dreamies and possibly some tuna are proffered!

Pudmyboy · 24/03/2023 18:46

Ah! cross post with@EmmaEmerald !

Silvers11 · 24/03/2023 18:57

LoL!! Of course YABU. It's your job to keep out of the way of the Boss - or watch where you are going. It isn't his/her job to move out of the way 😂😂😂

I hope you apologised to the tail-owner too 😆

Caramelsmadfuzzytail · 24/03/2023 19:04

I've still got scabs on my leg from when I trod on my cats tail.
She was sat in the middle of a doorway and I wasn't looking at my feet, so I trod, she yowled, hissed and blatted my leg.
I thought she'd stopped doing that when I ended up turning her 360° while taking a step. I mean she's 11 now so it's expected.

Pudmyboy · 24/03/2023 18:43

Is this your cat?

😆

Ellmau · 24/03/2023 19:07

Once I sat on my cat, don't ask me how. He's fine, it was many years ago.

I once sat on someone else's cat. I didn't realise it was the cat's chair :)

Accidentally kicked my orange boy in the head the other night.

I felt so terrible I spent about an hour lying on the carpet hand feeding him ham while stroking his head.

It was an accident on your part but he knew exactly what he was doing.

Shona52 · 24/03/2023 19:14

Only 1 packet!!!! You got of cheap 😆

mazylou · 24/03/2023 19:19

Our ginger overlord likes trying to trip us up on the stairs by waiting until we've started going up, he then leaps on whale table and batters us through the bannisters. He then somehow manages to get ahead and positions himself on the half landing to punish our feet.

I swear, I've never stood on his tail. I buy him fried chicken hearts (he despises Dreamies), and he rules the bloody roost.

mazylou · 24/03/2023 19:20

DRIED chicken hearts.

Harls1969 · 24/03/2023 19:22

Apparently I should not get cross and shout 'Get out of the bloody way' when I'm carrying in heavy shopping and one of my feline bosses weaves oh-so-slowly in front of me. Or when the really fluffy princess walks behind my car so I can't see if I'm running her over as I reverse onto the drive.
I should be grateful when they've eaten grass then run in to vomit it up into the radiator or on the sofa...

HAVELOCK · 24/03/2023 19:24

YABU!! How dare you, they’re not your stairs, you are a servant who should know better than to think you can wander around without a care. And ONE packet of dreamies, really? One?? 😹

COPPER3 · 24/03/2023 19:53

Literally pi**ing myself at the cat tales. Best thread for a LOL for a long time! I have a dog and we cannot utter the very word...but they have my respect (and fear)..

MavisCruet2023 · 24/03/2023 20:09

Sorry now - but we need a photo of said tail.

Cats' tails are the best part - as well as their little ears, paws, fur and eyes, of course.

Mine had a limp
"Walk for the nice vet" I said to him
Cat "I don't know what walking is, never done it in my life"
He sat in a corner and refused to move Hmm
Thanks for that

🤣🤣🤣🤣 hilarious !

SuperBlondie28 · 24/03/2023 20:32

I actually sat on my cat! I moved off our sofa, it's black leather with a maroon coloured blanket on it, made tea, sat back down and straight on my BLACK cat. Cat wasn't happy at all 😂

Efrogwraig · 24/03/2023 20:47

l can't believe you've only used one packet of Dreamies for such a serious injury. An Anonymous tip off to Catline has been made...

BertaHoon · 24/03/2023 20:51

AnnoyedFromSlough · 23/03/2023 19:48

This is the correct answer. In spades AND with bells on.

🤣

Mine crawls into my bed whilst I'm asleep and bats me on the head if I roll over to his side in my own double bed!

I still say sorry!!

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 24/03/2023 21:04

I had a Knob Head cat, his attitude was the result of being very badly treated before he came to me. Twice I sat on him because I wasn't looking and full-on stood on him on the stairs more than once when he was sleeping there.

His reaction to these dreadful occurances was just to be startled, bemused and accept affection - quite different to his usual "touch-me-and-you-die" attitude. Made me love him all the more!

Callipygion · 24/03/2023 21:17

I’ve told my kids, if they find me dead at the bottom of the stairs it’s the cat’s fault. She zig-zags in front of me and will also suddenly stop for no reason other than to poke her head through the bannisters to look down in the hallway at nothing!

Hellocatshome · 24/03/2023 21:46

I have been told on multiple occasions that the owners of the tails can not be held responsible for the actions of said tail. This is why tails often end up in my face, under my feet or dangling in my bath water they act independently of the tail owner.

XenoBitch · 24/03/2023 21:52

Cats on stairs makes me cringe. I knew someone who accidently trod on their young cat on the stairs, and killed it.
But then cats lurking on stairs are trying to kill their owners, from what I have read. Psychopathic little buggers Grin

Janiebirdy · 24/03/2023 21:55

Yabvu. The tail is a sacred appendage of the master. You must treat it with the utmost respect and care. The tail is the voice, the energy and light of the master. Choral music begins and gold sparkly lights appear

Mamanyt · 24/03/2023 23:10

Dere Hoomin. Yoo r RONG! Sined Hekate, teh cat.
