Randoms using my wheelie bin for their dog shit!

I'm fuming. Put my wheelie bin at the top of my driveway last night for collection today, it's fairly full so the top is slightly open. Just went out this morning (it hasn't been emptied yet) and noticed someone has placed two bags full of dog shit in my bin on top of my rubbish bags! AIBU or is this absolutely disgusting? I don't have a dog and I don't want dog shit in my bin.

Totally agree it's disgusting and cheeky. Like a pp, I had someone put their dog shit bags in my empty wheelie bin. First time, I didn't notice, and put my kitchen bin bag on top of it so it burst and stuck to the bottom of my bin.
Second time, to avoid it bursting again, I had to lean into my own bin to fish it out and go and put it into the dog shit bin (about 10 meters down the road!)
Those people saying it's a bin, that's what it's there for, fine. Take it home and put it in YOUR OWN household bin, not a random strangers.

Ladybyrd · 22/03/2023 14:22

I hate this. Not that I've had it done to me, but I used to watch a guying doing it to a business opposite my work everyday. Dirty little piggy.

Ladybyrd · 22/03/2023 14:26

I'd be grateful that they have bagged it and binned it. Would you rather they had left it on the pavement outside your house?

No. I'd rather they taught their dog to piss and shit at home. A controversial stance, I know.

There's a playing field outside my son's school. It's always covered in dogs, despite the fact that everyone knows it's a sports field. Some clean up, some don't. I wouldn't dream of taking a dog on there. Is it right to expect kids playing football or whatever to be rolling around in dog piss?

Its. A. Bin. - made for rubbish.....

Would you rather they left it on the road/path??

And they have a bin, made for their own dog shit, at their own home. They don't get to leave it on the sidewalk OR use a stranger's bin; they get to carry it home.

What lie? That she did or didn’t ask whether she was being unreasonable?! Who cares! She’s not under oath. Why on earth is it your mission to grill her about that?

By contrast, my responses to you are to try to get you to see that dancing about in excitement when an OP is getting clobbered isn’t really a good look, I guess in the hope you won’t do it again? It’s bullying and it’s nasty.

I have the strangest feeling that this is the OP under a different username?

Well, you’d be wrong. Why is it so unbelievable that someone would stick up for an OP? I just don’t like bullying.

reddragon7 · 25/03/2023 15:11

EWWW! You are absolutely right to be fuming, I would be too. Its YOUR dog, hence, YOUR responsibility to dispose of the dog shit in YOUR OWN bin,
or a public bin for dog waste. So so inconsiderate for people to think its okay to use someone else's household bin for their dog shit. So rude and disrespectful.

To those saying, "its a bin, rubbish, it will be emptied," blah blah - nobody has the right to anyone else's household bins, other than the occupiers. You can't assume others are comfortable with your dog's shit in their bin, and if you don't care what they think, that just makes you rude and inconsiderate. Just like dog owners, who leave dog shit everywhere and anywhere on the roads etc.

@dogpoobin
You've certainly opened a can of worms with your very reasonable complaint about dog poo being put in bins. It's clear that many people's attitude to disposal of rubbish isn't just unhygienic but how much do they recycle?

Disposing of dog poo in a sealed bag in a bin is unhygienic? What should be done with it?

What's recycling got to do with it?

I actually think it's illegal to put animal waste in the black bins so you could get a fine and the bin men could refuse to take it. I've just moved into a block of newly built twelve flats I'm the only English person the rest are from the Ukraine and for some reason they all have two black bins each, both bins proudly displaying their flat number in large white paint. They wheel both bins out every two weeks and the bin men empty them.....one rule for us bla bla bla. I can only assume that they've either asked the council for more bins or they've stolen them when someone has moved out. The latter just doesn't seem feasible as they ALL have them.....apart from me. However the bottom flat is empty so their two bins are full of nappies, dog n cat shit, stinking litter from the flats, the bins are all lined up across the wall right under the bottom flat kitchen, bathroom and bedroom window and towards the end of two weeks they absolutely stink!! I don't use the two bins because I don't generate enough rubbish but I am the one who puts it out for collection. In my last place they wouldnt collect if the bin lid was slightly raised but here no problem..... personally I think it's absolutely disgusting and if you have a dog you should dispose of you dog shit in the proper bins as putting in landfill causes disease for gulls to shit from the sky.

Cardiff says the same

RCT says the same https://www.rctcbc.gov.uk/EN/Resident/RecyclingandWaste/Petandanimalwaste.aspx

Warwickshire says the same

Etc etc etc

If it's such a non issue dizzy Lizzy why don't you just fk off, after all you made your point ages ago but you cant accept that someone wouldn't like someone else's dog shit in their bin so you're acting like a spoilt child who can't get her own way. No one wants to continually read your spiteful nasty comments to OP!!

Emz6103 · 07/09/2023 01:04

And what the fk is it to do with you when n where people post? You're here telling OP to get a life when you're doing most of the posting....oh the irony!!! Why don't you get a life? N how do you know "she's off posting on another thread" if you yourself aren't watching all the other threads? You've actually been really insulting, saying you're entitled to your opinion yet insulting to anyone expressing their opinion.....if it doesn't match yours. If it's a non issue why are you still here? It's not even your thread yet here you are slinging insults and telling OP to get a life!!

I think Dizzy fucked off back in March - when we were all getting worked up about dog poo in real time. The mind boggles at what you must have been searching for to end up here 6 months later😆
