Randoms using my wheelie bin for their dog shit!

I'm fuming. Put my wheelie bin at the top of my driveway last night for collection today, it's fairly full so the top is slightly open. Just went out this morning (it hasn't been emptied yet) and noticed someone has placed two bags full of dog shit in my bin on top of my rubbish bags! AIBU or is this absolutely disgusting? I don't have a dog and I don't want dog shit in my bin.

It would piss me off. I manage to take mine home, why can’t others.

clpsmum · 19/03/2023 12:44

It's a bin that's going to be emptied today what is the problem

clpsmum · 19/03/2023 12:46

dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 08:53

Why could they not have carried it home and put it in their own bin? Or used one of the many public bins in the area? No excuse, it's fucking unacceptable and nothing will convince me otherwise.

Why would you come on a thread asking AIBU when you've already decided that you're not and are not going to listen to anybody anyway

bellabasset · 19/03/2023 12:54

Me -.go outside, no way. I had two litters of those pesky kittens and a very kind lady looked after us at a rescue. I'm not going to risk being jumped on again. I have a lovely playground and a friend who brings his catches home.

@dogpoobin if the dogs are shutting on the pavements, then it's good that people are picking it up and disposing of it sensibly? No?

Gorgeous cat though!

Well, having your bins cleaned must be fairly normal as there are at least two companies near us that do it, so I don’t know why people are affecting to be so mystified by it 😂

Our bins are kept in the side passage outside our house, right next to the utility room door. I really don’t want them reeking to high heaven. Bins definitely do start to smell, even if you bag everything meticulously.

I know right?

This from the site which constantly trumpets that bog brushes are the very devil, and that people who own them are unhygienic, disgusting slobs who should be shot with shit.

In the next sentence, they're claiming the best place to wash these shit-coated articles is in the dishwasher.

And as for the 'should outdoor shoes be worn indoors and trodden over carpeted floors' conundrum ...

This thread! Peak Mumsnet.

"Disposing of it sensibly" would be taking it to either a public bin or home with them to their own bin. 👍🏻

You're 48 hrs late as it was emptied on Friday - but thank you 😃

Well yes, I've never seen a cat shit on a pavement, but yeah, they're the real menace!

I genuinely have never seen a cat shit on a pavement either. 🤔

@saltinesandcoffeecups

Yeah they do, my neighbour does it, she goes outside and chews the ear off the bin cleaner who charges £10 to pressure wash bleach round her bin. Mental. She is a nice neighbour though, always brings my bin in with hers and vice Versa. She isn't arsed if a dog Walker puts shit in her bin either..she'd prefer it there as would most stable people.

DizzyLizzyKizzy · 19/03/2023 13:39

@dogpoobin you're really enjoying your Mother's Day aren't you?

Another sensible option IMO, is putting the poo bag in a bin that's about to be emptied?

No, I'm not as it happens, as one of my health conditions has flared up so significantly I've had to cancel my planned outing with my children.

I'm not arguing with you any longer - I've made my position very clear. If you use someone else's personal bin without their permission, to dispose of your dog's shit, you're a CF and disgusting.

@dogpoobin so why did you ask AIBU??

It was pointless!

DizzyLizzyKizzy · 19/03/2023 13:49

@dogpoobin and your clear rage over 48 hours later is ridiculous, it was a minor thing. Save your energy for something worthwhile.

dogpoobin · 19/03/2023 13:50

@DizzyLizzyKizzy yawn. You're getting repetitive and dull now.

I would not care!

iaapap · 19/03/2023 14:05

As always, people are very quick to be generous with other people’s time/money/facilities.

In reality, you have a dog, you need to pick up and bag shit and put it in your own bin or a public bin. I have a dog and sometimes walk past 50 wheely bins on bin day with a bag of shit - because it’s fucking rude and disgusting to use things that are not for your use! I have a dog and wouldn’t even want someone else’s dog shit in it. How do I know they wormed their dog for a start.

Then why in the name of god are you on AIBU?? You literally asked if you’re being unreasonable, and then you’re arguing with anyone who tells you that you are!!

Get a life, OP.

Also, you’re being very unreasonable. Your bin is about to be emptied. Get over yourself.

DizzyLizzyKizzy · 19/03/2023 14:16

@TaTa88 I know! Makes no sense!

Also, "I'm not arguing with you anymore" followed by another snippy comment five minutes later 🙄

Exactly. Thank you for being responsible and considerate.
