Randoms using my wheelie bin for their dog shit!

I'm fuming. Put my wheelie bin at the top of my driveway last night for collection today, it's fairly full so the top is slightly open. Just went out this morning (it hasn't been emptied yet) and noticed someone has placed two bags full of dog shit in my bin on top of my rubbish bags! AIBU or is this absolutely disgusting? I don't have a dog and I don't want dog shit in my bin.

As for ‘at least they’re picking it up , you should be grateful’ ?!!!! That sort of shite logic doesn’t usually work on here. What, so you should be grateful that someone does something less bad than a really awful misdemeanour?! So if someone nicks your bike, you should be grateful they didn’t nick your car?!

Exactly!!! Spot on

I love how people are assuming that because I'm continuing to engage with my own thread I must be experiencing the exact same intensity of emotion I had yesterday morning (which, incidentally, means it hasn't quite been "48 hours of outrage" - it's actually around 29 hours if we are being pedantic).

Funnily enough, like most normal humans, my emotions change with time. As such, I am not "still outraged" ffs. However, I still disagree with anyone putting their dog shit in another person's bin without permission. On that I will not budge. 😀

48 hours of rage 😂😂😂

MN is fucking class.

You do seem full of rage....

Maybe do something else instead of constantly checking Mumsnet, that might help?

dogpoobin · 18/03/2023 13:31

I've been outraged for 2 days too, and it wasn't even my bin.

😂

OP posts:
dogpoobin · 18/03/2023 13:33

@DizzyLizzyKizzy

I can assure you that I am exact the opposite of full of rage in this precise moment. I'm actually somewhat amused at this point.

I can in fact "check MN" however often I like, whenever I like, without your express permission. Is that ok?

dogpoobin · 18/03/2023 13:35

There's also some questionable maths going on on this thread.

48 hours from 8.30am Friday morning would take us to 8.30am on Sunday morning.

Are people confused about what day it is?

Confused

@DrMeredithGrey2023 if people say you can put your dog shit in their bin that's fine they obviously don't mind. The point of the thread is people putting it in bins when they don't know if householder minds or not

dogpoobin · 18/03/2023 13:37

And really, if you think about, I slept for what, 9 hours last night. I'm not enraged in my sleep, obviously.

So if you subtract those 9 hours from the 29 hours that have passed since this event, I have in fact only been enraged for 20 hours, at best. And that's a generous estimate. As I've experienced no rage at all this morning since getting up at 7am. So all in all...... my rage was actually quite short lived.

😂

Well it was hardly a big deal was it?

Burgoo · 18/03/2023 13:43

Really unsure what the issue is. It isn't like they are putting massive black bags of rubbish in your bin. Its is a tiny bag of crap. What is the problem? I'm not that precious about my bins, I have other things to worry about.. like paying the mortgage.

Well I was enraged all last night whilst I was asleep - and even more enraged when I woke up to go to the toilet!

(and it's not even my bin)

There really are some unpleasant posters on this thread. Everyone knows AIBU is for (amongst other things) petty or trivial sources of annoyance. It’s deeply unpleasant how some people are now goading and taunting OP for a fairly run-of-the-mill post. You know who you are.

Pinkywoo · 18/03/2023 13:53

So your bin already has (baby) poo in, it's about to be emptied, and the dog poo is bagged? Nope, don't see the problem.

The answer to your 4th sentence, is in your 3rd sentence.

The problem is: it's a bag of crap.

Don't want it in my bin. Not my child's crap. Not my animal's crap (I don't own animals anyway).

TL;DR: I don't want someone else's crap in my bin.

There are more floaters in this thread than the North Sea.

This is gonna blow your mind....I've had people offer for me to put my full bag in their bin. Some people do not mind.

Also - if I was far away from a bin, or had my hands full, and someone was pulling their bin on to the curb to be emptied then yes, I would ask if it was about to be emptied and if so, would they mind me popping my bag on top.

But why would you even ask, if throwing shit into someone else's bin is such a righteous act?

Why wouldn't you just confidently flip up the lid and toss your shit right in, as they look on? Isn't that what you're doing if you use a stranger's bin when they aren't there?

Eekle · 18/03/2023 15:33

Somebody does this to us.

I wouldn't get worked up about it, IF they were using the waste bin. But no, they use the recycling one?! Angry

Anybody walking dogs on our estate ought to know which bin is which - nobody not local would come up here to walk dogs, it's not that kind of location.

You can worry about paying your mortgage and be upset about bin turds you know. They're not mutually exclusive

Fromwetome · 18/03/2023 23:17

Dear pathetic bin shaggers, who pay waste money getting their bins (that aren't legally theirs) cleaned by professionals, feel free to put your dog shit in my bin. Cause it's a bin and I am normal and know in my heart that there is WAY more in the world to be "fuming" at then responsible dog owners, who are doing the right thing of disposing of waste in a council bin.

XenoBitch · 18/03/2023 23:32

This thread is nuts.
Your bin was going to be emptied in the next 12-14 hours anyway. A whole bucket of dogshit could have been put in it, and had you not gone to look, you would never have known.
Hell, why say it was dog shit? It might have been random body parts from a serial killer who was trying to disperse evidence of a kill.

saltinesandcoffeecups · 19/03/2023 00:09

Probably missing the point of the thread which I haven’t read in full…but people pay money … like real cash money to have their bins cleaned?!? You know that you is the most batshit crazy thing ever, right?
