Randoms using my wheelie bin for their dog shit!

I'm fuming. Put my wheelie bin at the top of my driveway last night for collection today, it's fairly full so the top is slightly open. Just went out this morning (it hasn't been emptied yet) and noticed someone has placed two bags full of dog shit in my bin on top of my rubbish bags! AIBU or is this absolutely disgusting? I don't have a dog and I don't want dog shit in my bin.

And now we have the above contribution from @Poppyseed99

Good god.

Timeforchangeithink · 17/03/2023 20:09

Who has a full wheelie bin of non recycleable waste these days?

I think it’s very self entitled actually. Don’t listen to all the posters saying it’s OK, they’re probably dog owners who do it themselves 🤷‍♀️ What’s wrong with carrying the bag home and putting it in their own bin? Why should you have a stinky bin and also waste space in there. Totally with you on this one.

Good grief.

Not rapists, murderers, pedophiles.

It's the dog owners that are the dregs of society.

Righto.

It was about to be emptied. 🤷‍♀️

Highlights12 · 17/03/2023 20:19

Don't know why people can't just put it in their pocket & dispose of it when they get home after all it is in a bag. Its not like it will be smeared all over their pocket.

It won’t be smeared all over the (soon to be emptied) bin either.

Oil on the handles and lid. We had to do this (just used olive oil and even rubbed lard on it at one point) and for 2 weeks at least once a day I heard "fucks sake!" 😅. I wouldn't mind but there is a public bin 5 steps from our driveway 😡. When I pick up after my dog I carry it until I see a public bin. Would not dream of putting it in someone's wheelie bin.

Ha ha, brilliant!

Or smeared over the bin, that's about to be emptied

dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 08:53

Why could they not have carried it home and put it in their own bin? Or used one of the many public bins in the area? No excuse, it's fucking unacceptable and nothing will convince me otherwise.

Which begs the question why you posted this in AIBU when you clearly don’t think you are.

it’s a bin. Find some actual problems. Jesus wept.

I don’t have a dog. I hate dogs. And yet I can’t bring myself to be angry about rubbish in a bin.

I wouldn't put my dog poo in someone else's bin, although I have been tempted, but would not give a rat's arse if someone put it in mine.

However, putting it in my recycling would piss me off.

I wouldn't even know if someone put it in mine 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pickingmyselfup · 17/03/2023 20:45

Honestly it wouldn't bother me at all. It's a bin, bins smell and it's outside so it isn't going to bother me.

I don't have a dog but I also don't pay for my bins to be cleaned and we once had maggots so I'm not all that precious about my outside bin.

I would have an issue with someone filling it with massive bags before bin day. If it's bin day and I've put the bin out then chuck what you want in if there is room. I've been the one who has no room left and it's an absolute nightmare so I would gladly help someone if I could (if they asked just incase I had more rubbish!) I know that is also a controversial issue though, seems people don't like strangers rubbish which is why I've never asked anyone if I can put mine in their bin.

justasking111 · 17/03/2023 20:45

Our council actually suggested using any bin available.

Devoutspoken · 17/03/2023 20:46

It's gross and selfish, don't do it

BabyCarolina · 17/03/2023 20:47

I put a random dog poo bag (on my road) in a bin on my road the other day. Not only do the bloody dog owners let their dogs shit all over the pavement, when they do pick it up, they leave it there. So yes, I will occasionally pick it up and put it in the nearest bin.

I also pick up rubbish after recycling day and put it in the nearest recycling bin.

The bloody dog owners need shooting.

Devoutspoken · 17/03/2023 20:47

Just asking, do they not mean public bin, why should I clean up dog shit from a split bag?

Potplant19 · 17/03/2023 20:56

I would be pissed off too, although can understand it is a bin etc etc

Someone put a dog poo in a bag in our food waste container this week, after it (the bin) had been emptied. It had a few hours out in the rain before I realised. They hadn't knotted the bag properly and it was heavy rain so there was pummeled bits of dog shit all over the bin. It was a low point fishing out a bag of someone else's dog shit to put in the black bin, and made me really hate whoever made that choice for being a selfish, entitled twat.

ZiriForEver · 17/03/2023 21:04

Ok, so now it is totally obvious, that many people aren't happy with their (rented) bins used that way.
I hope the dog people in this thread got a memo.

A reasonable next step would be, for those who are happy to have their bin used like that, to just put a sticker on it.
No sticker= don't throw dog poo there, simple as that.

I can beat that, possibly...someone used my emptied food waste container to dump (see what I did there) a human poo and pooey underpants and a pooey tissue!

But hey, it's just a bin, right? Why shouldn't randomers put their poo in it? Angry

dogpoobin · 17/03/2023 21:09

What I've learned from this thread is that so many people are just entitled and disgusting. To be honest I already knew that - some of these responses have just reinforced it! 🤮
