My DH doesn’t have the legs, but at least this guy is not wearing lipstick and a wig, and dresses his top half like man. His wife helps him choose the clothes.

I do agree re all the comments on his legs makimg it ok. That really isn't relevant and "good" legs shouldn't dictate whether you can/should wear a skirt.

Downtown123 · 10/03/2023 13:08

Definitely not I think he has some kind of sick fetish and he looks like a right knob

But plenty of women wear men's clothes eg I've seen people recommend men's swimming shorts on here when women don't want to wear s swimming costume. It's very clear they are men's shorts.

My daughter always shops in the men's section.

I have some men's trainers.

What about safety gear which is mainly geared towards men?

Do you think any of that is fetishism?

No and I think it's completely different

Why?
Not being goady. I'm trying to understand why a man wearing a skirt = fetishism bit a woman wearing men's short is ok.

Namechange1011111stairs · 10/03/2023 13:11

^ shpuld say what are blatantly men's shorts.

HarlanPepper · 10/03/2023 13:12

He looks odd to me because his top and bottom halves don't match. He looks like one of those mix and match flip books for children. But, fair play to him - he must be a pretty resilient chap because I bet he gets a lot of abuse. And I agree with others, I think people should wear what they want.

Generally when a woman chooses to wear 'mens' clothes it's because they are more practical and comfortable - in the examples that you've given, swim shorts presumably cover more flesh than costumes / bikini's and safety gear is providing a purpose.

This dude is not choosing a mini skirt and 6 inch heels because they are practical or comfortable...

The shoes bother me far far more than the skirt. I think the shoes are OTT even for a woman at that height for everyday / daytime wear. In the picture in the garage with low/flat boots it's all far less disturbing.
I'm Scottish and well accustomed to men in kilts so maybe that's why the skirt doesn't jarr with me as much as the shoes (also i don't wear heels myself).

Same here. The grey suit with the skirt looks fine, but the shoes are over the top - in my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

Meandfour · 10/03/2023 13:13

Absolutely not. Each to their own but it’s not something I would personally find attractive and it would put me off my husband if he dressed like this.
He has great legs though!

None of your examples are relevant to this case and furthermore cross dressing is not a paraphilia which women indulge in. So no, is the short answer.

The article was originally dated 08.03.23. Thanks, WalesOnline, for running a story about a man wearing women's clothes on International Women's Day.

I'm astounded that he can get high heels to fit a man's width of foot.

Why does he need his wife to pick out the clothes?

missmollygreen · 10/03/2023 13:15

He can wear whatever he wants. If it was the other way round no one would be able to question it

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/03/2023 13:16

It's like Mr Benn meets Ezzie Izzard. Weird as fuck.

Paturday · 10/03/2023 13:16

He does look good in the clothes but also looks incredibly smug, so yes I would find that very irritating.

Runningonempty01 · 10/03/2023 13:17

I think he was dressed like either of these images it wouldn't bother me at all ( googled trendy womens work wear) It the fetishism aspect of it I don't like.

Cloudhoppingdancer · 10/03/2023 13:17

I wouldn't be happy and I wouldn't assume he was alright. I would question if he was on board with the marriage and what was so wrong that he had to express it like this. Nobody here would be happy if their husband got up like that tomorrow morning for work and the school run.

Cloudhoppingdancer · 10/03/2023 13:18

That said, if he wanted to keep doing it for reasons of his own, I would recognise his right to do that as accept it. But I don't think we'd be together.

knittingaddict · 10/03/2023 13:18

The skirts and heels don't worry me so much as the massive attention seeking. That would be a deal breaker for me.

He looks like that childrens game where you make combinations out of cards - Mr Butcher's top half and Mrs Baker's bottom half. All very odd.

CrystalCoco · 10/03/2023 13:18

Nope, he looks a right tw@t

When women wear mens clothing they usually do so for reasons of comfort and practicality. I can't think of any way doing so would be in any way sexual (men's clothes are not designed to be sexually titillating for one thing) often its the reverse, they are concealing their sexuality.
This man is wearing items strongly associated with female sexuality, stiletto heels, sheer hosiery, skirts revealing legs. Basically a man's idea of 'sexy' womens clothes.

Theunamedcat · 10/03/2023 13:20

This is years old why are they dragging him up again?

BorgQueen · 10/03/2023 13:20

Come on, he looks ridiculous.
There are many ways a man can look good in a skirt, this isn’t one of them, the heels especially.
I’m also wary of his reasons, given that so many AGP men are flaunting their fetishes in our faces.

knittingaddict · 10/03/2023 13:21

Blimey Namechange1011111stairs I think you get the prize for most disingenuous post of the year so far.

bottolololcks · 10/03/2023 13:21

Happy for him, I can’t wear that style of skirt and only wear heels for very special occasions, last time was 2016! And I’m a biologically born woman who never had gender identity issues and straight if that matters.

But no, I would rather my partner to be into the boring clothes that society deems normal for men nowadays.

Cocobutt · 10/03/2023 13:22

Nope I wouldn’t because I couldn’t be with anyone who was so obsessed with attention like he obviously is.
