My DH doesn’t have the legs, but at least this guy is not wearing lipstick and a wig, and dresses his top half like man. His wife helps him choose the clothes.

It would bother me if it was my husband, yes. I find him attractive "presenting" as a masculine man. That's my preference.

For this guy it is clearly a fetish but whatever.

However, I fully agree with him that clothes don't need to be categorised according to sex. If a man who knows he is a man wants to wear a skirt then he can crack on.

OneFrenchEgg · 10/03/2023 14:02

No i hate that look on anyone.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 10/03/2023 12:04

Tight skirts and skyscraper heels? It's a fetish. I don't know a single woman who dresses like that. (I'm aware some do but it's relatively uncommon these days)
So no, I wouldn't like it.

It’s 100% a fetish. Ugh.

PurplePineapple1 · 10/03/2023 14:04

It’s not even the dress that bothers me. The clothes aren’t gendered. It’s the weird fawning response, that women would not get (or give to other women) wearing the same outfit

Very much agree with this point. It is reminiscent of the cringey fawning responses that men get when they post on here.

Opaljewel · 10/03/2023 14:04

I don't personally fancy men who wear skirts (unless it's a kilt and they are scottish) but I think good on him. Looks better in one than I do for sure.

I always wonder why there is always so much amazement around how wonderful a guys legs are when they dress in a skirt.

It’s not even the dress that bothers me. The clothes aren’t gendered. It’s the weird fawning response, that women would not get (or give to other women) wearing the same outfit.

Mens legs are generally proportionately longer and the ubiquitous heels they favour help, so I think some people do think it looks good.
I agree with you though. Everytime a man does a 'woman thing' you get a bunch of women rushing to say he's doing it better than women do.

Ofcourseshecan · 10/03/2023 14:06

Why the hell would any man (of any age, let alone with feet that have carried the weight for 63 years) torture his feet into stiletto-heeled shoes with pointy toes? He must be in agony.

Tunnocksmallow · 10/03/2023 14:07

If my partner dressed like that, I would be a very, very happy woman.

I agree, clothes should be viewed as gender less.

Deadringer · 10/03/2023 14:07

It's the way he is posing that gives me the ick. I don't really care what people wear generally but my husband dressing like that? No way.

Honoraryuce · 10/03/2023 14:10

No but I can't imagine wanting to go out with someone male or female that dressed like that. Heels and skirts are so impractical.

Doesthepopeshitinthewoods · 10/03/2023 14:12

I personally wouldn’t like it for my husband, but Christ on a bike, he’s got some pins 👏🏻

Cosycover · 10/03/2023 14:13

No I'd divorce him

Justalittlebitduckling · 10/03/2023 14:15

I would struggle with that tbh. Would be a lot for us to work through as a couple. Especially as we have had conversations about cross dressing etc and he’s said he’s not remotely interested. I would feel like he’s been lying to me.

Cleargreysky · 10/03/2023 14:17

I have no understanding of why anyone would wear heels like that to work - the pain! But as long he isn't claiming to be anything other than a man in heels and a skirt, he can crack on.

bingoitsadingo · 10/03/2023 14:17

I wouldn't be bothered if my partner wore a skirt. I probably wouldn't love it as a fashion choice but he has other clothes I think are ugly too lol

The heels though, I'd think he'd lost his mind. I wouldn't be a fan of that - not because I think men shouldn't wear them, I just don't really like them in general.

VisitationRights · 10/03/2023 14:19

It would bother me greatly if my partner acted out his fetish in public and subjected others to partake in it.

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 10/03/2023 14:28

I don't care what anyone wears - but if my husband started wearing skirts and heels like that no I wouldn't like it and honestly I'd be concerned. Because it's not something I've ever known him to do before.

VaddaABeetch · 10/03/2023 14:28

Fetish. Getting people to participate in it.

Ludo19 · 10/03/2023 14:29

Great legs. I don't have a husband but if I did and he dressed like that then he'd be asked to leave.

Lcb123 · 10/03/2023 14:29

If he was happy wearing that, id be happy. I’d also be impressed he could walk in those heels! Clothes and gender is all a social construct

AltitudeCheck · 10/03/2023 14:32

His Instagram says he's a model. He does look stylish in his pictures, totally impractical but well coordinated and put together! Absolutely not a look I'd wear and it's not a look many men could pull off but I think he does it well! I have no issue with people having fun with their own clothing choices.

Probablymagrat · 10/03/2023 14:34

He can wear what he likes, I am all for self expression, and he looks great, certainly better than Jonathon Ross did in the 80s when he went through a skirt wearting phase. But he is not pretending to be a woman and muscle in on womens spaces, so I do not see him as a threat. He is not a so called transwoman, he is a bloke choosing to wear a skirt. Which is entirely different.

womanwithissues · 10/03/2023 14:36

He looks great. He can wear what he likes.

Cassiehopes · 10/03/2023 14:38

NO!

magicstar1 · 10/03/2023 14:40

No, I think he'd look ridiculous. He does have a couple of black kilts that he wears with boots, and looks really good in them.
