@DrBlackbird I agree that there be an element of "everyone else in here is fine so I'll go with the flow" some of the women. I don't think it's anything to do with kindness. You can be kind and still have boundaries. You can be kind and not take your baby to a sexualised event. There's an element of doing something risqué and edgy. Fine. Do it but without your baby. There's a strong element of being selfish- the mums' needs matters more than the welfare of the babies. There's good marketing - do something for yourself while baby has sensory time in between. There's sexual positivity. There's their progressive politics. There's loads of other things. But kindness? No.

So why is a lot of this footage and images of the same performers on their own Instagram and website? Some events were last year. Lots of people local to the event have shared their own images on social media.

i saw their Instagram before they locked it down and there were images of almost naked burlesque dancers (slimy pants and nipple covers) and almost naked men (a thong on the penis and stripper heels).

The organisers have defended the performances, not denied they ever happened.

I know it is tempting to try and reside in your own little utopia where there are no bad people or child sex abuse etc but sadly this is the real world and we have seen a number of videos and images of children being exposed to sexualised performances that are totally inappropriate and their parents bring groomed to think it is all ok.

What are these parents even getting out of this experience? Are they there for a laugh or for some type of sexual gratification? It can only be one of those two things, and it doesn’t look very funny to me. So if it’s about sexual gratification, why are they involving their kids?

The owners of the company are described as entertainers and seem to have connections with a collective called Happy Slap Boutique which in turn seems to have connections with kink performances more generally.

Do these yummy mummies' partners realize that they are taking the babies and toddlers along to these revolting events and are they happy about it

For those that haven’t been there already, do dip into the women’s rights board. It often gets bad press on here from some posters - because they want to shut down conversation. If you take time to read it, with an open mind, you will see that it is ALL about protecting the rights of women and about safeguarding. If you don’t feel comfortable posting, then don’t post. There are lots of people who mainly read and learn, maybe pop a post here and there. The main takeaway from that board is never feel ashamed for worrying about safeguarding for women and children. Even if your personal circumstances mean that you can’t currently voice your concerns, having a space where you can read info that reassures you that you’re not a “insert any insult here” can actually be helpful.

They are part of the LGBTQ+ banner. They are men looking like women, they read gender identity books to the children, and Stonewall included transvestites as trans. So it isn’t surprising there is a perceived link.

There will be accusations of transphobic hate crimes. Aida H. Dee the DQ who reads to children, and one from the Honor Oak pub DQ sessions both speak of the ‘haters’.

It’s definitely wrong, but is it illegal? Legitimately asking. If it’s not illegal, what can police do?

And tell us you looked at the archived images dated back to 2nd December 2022 on archive ph that appears when you type the company’s name in the search bar. The archive showing the still pics of the aerial performer Ben Loader performing at the same venue with parents with children! The archive showing the white wigged splits performer in stills as well.

Have you done a Google search on the company name and looked at the cached images ? There are a few still up for the now shut down site.

Then there is Dominique Samuel’s YouTube video where she scrolls through the now hidden company website with the same still photos.

Seriously, if this was a ‘deep fake’ it started before 2nd December 2022 and someone has been playing a very deep and long game for what? How did the fakers convince the company owners to not declare that the videos were fake in their statement instead of saying

“It's come to our attention that people are sharing particular images and videos of one of our events that was specifically curated for the very young babies and parents .. not for "children of all ages as implied.”

Why didn’t the very next line say ‘these images and videos are fake’? So easy to do! Yet they have not done it. Why?

Over the weekend, I was alerted to a completely inappropriate Drag Queen event involving children.

It got even WORSE, with parents directing me to another inappropriate organisation targeting BABIES, named Caba Baba Rave.

What you are about to watch is horrifying.

This has nothing to do with diversity or inclusion. It’s called grooming.

Everything on the Cabababarave site talked about babies and shows babies - but it seems that older children were also welcome, which is even more worrying.

I am glad that I am not the only one who finds it weird…the drag queen shows are happening often in libraries or kid’s festivals where I live. Very often is a show with a message it’s ok to be “they”instead of a girl or boy all aimed for under 5. If a typical story teller/performer dress like drag queen’s do, people would be appalled…I am opened minded but can’t find any benefits for small children to be exposed to gender neutral themes with half naked drag queens. We have drag queens occasionally walking around in the streets and I am absolutely fine with this, children are thought to accept we are all different but after watching few of the performances I tried to avoid them as I really don’t agree with putting adults opinions on existence of gender to a very little ones this way. Let the kids decide for themselves if they want to be they, he or she and stop making a big thing about the gender discrimination and accept we are all equal despite being born as a woman or man. We really don’t need to send this message through this kind of shows I suppose…I love watching the drag queens performance as an adult but don’t really see them appropriate for small kids.

I think a lot of these parents have themselves been indoctrinated to believe that making any kind of link between lgbtq+, and child exploitation, is homophobic.

In their minds, drag is "gay culture". And the idea that gay men are child abusers is a homophobic slur. Somehow the fact that drag is a very sexualized type of performance doesn't seem to twig for them.

I suspect that this is partly why you see more mums at this stuff than dads - I think a lot of women are able to be very naive about sexualized content in a way that most men aren't. Partly because women's experience of sexuality is just different than typical male sexuality - I know some people are very uncomfortable with that, but I think it's a significant pattern.

I also wonder if it's related to the fact that so many women seem to be unable to see how things like fashion and women's clothing really are sexualized in our culture compared to those of men.

So you get these often young, rather naive, women, who just don't see cultural sexualization around them very clearly, going to these events, and they have this block around thinking this could be a sexualized activity, because it's bigoted to think something "gay" is sexualized.

Yeah there is undoubtedly a link. I agree with the PP though, imagine being trans, going through the process of gender reassignment and just wanting to quietly go about your life and suddenly there's a whole spotlight on you and you're associated with self ID and rapists in women's prisons and exposing children to inappropriate content and so on. All of this TRA campaigning and queer theory and so on is surely doing much more harm to trans people than good.

Let's face it, the 'hate' is nothing more than any boundary or anyone who says 'there's a problem with what you're doing because...' as opposed to 'do whatever you want, yay you'.
