This is abuse. What kind of parent takes their baby to a show like this?

We've got 'that never happened'.

In a minute we'll move on to step two, which is 'if it did, it wasn't that bad'.

DrBlackbird · 04/03/2023 18:42

Morestrangethings · 04/03/2023 10:03

I think it is shaming - accompanied by the text that this is child abuse, and what kind of parent would do this? Chances are they are not deliberately evil parents, chances are they have not thought this through. As discussion on the wrongs of subjecting children to drag shows grows, at least some of these women will most likely change their minds about acceptance of this, but these images and those women’s faces will remain on the internet and brought up time and time again. The internet is a relatively new tool and we don’t yet have a complete picture of the good it can do, or the damage it can cause.

I do wonder what your stance is on my third concern -the publishing of of the children’s faces on the internet?

I wondered if all those people had consented to their photos and the photos of their children being used for promotional material? Surely not?

It isn't fake and it reeks of desperation that anyone is claiming that it is.
Go watch the videos yourself and check, it's all out there for you to see.
The organisers didn't deny it, just called everyone trolls if they complained.

So assuming it's not fake, would you say it was inappropriate?

If not fake then yes. Awful. Can’t understand in the slightest why any mum would take a baby to this?
The only think I can think of is they enjoy seeing this kind of stuff or think they are cool / want to be a mum who still goes clubbing or similar and this is a way to do it with the baby.
I mean if they were all fully dressed in normal day clothes that’s one thing- but what they are wearing ffs.
Yeah, if it’s all real then bloody hell- just wrong.

Igneococcus · 04/03/2023 18:43

And then onto step 3 "it's the babies' fault for looking"

cultkid · 04/03/2023 18:44

for the love of god people. You need to learn to not trust anything you see online. Deep fakes and clever editing abound. Got help you going forward and with AI becoming more and more prevalent if you can’t spot this is fake.
Hilariously edited, blurry, parts missing (like the person in a thongs heel) lighting and shadows not matching etc.

Are you for real?

Of course it isn't fake ffs.

Unfortunately it really is real.

We all wish it was faked, but no people really are stupid enough to go to shows like this.

Just do some digging if you dont believe me. The building this supposedly happened it doesn’t have a room like this- couldn’t possibly with the style and size of the building!

R U OK hun?

The building is pretty unusual so it’s really easy to match the video to the venue, right down to in situ mobile home and the stickers on the door.

The venue is Patchworks in Leyton.

The entire spec of that space is available via their uploaded PDF

irp.cdn-website.com/9c7ff87a/files/uploaded/Mobilstudio_spec_Q4-2021.pdf

I’d love to believe the whole thing was fake news but that’s a bullshit story being put about by people who care more about adult fetishists than they do about babies.
2023 is shocking, eh?

CabaBabaRave have used at least 5 different London venues but the viral video was definitely shot at Patchworks. It couldn’t be more obvious!

What are people's thoughts about Mr tumble? That involves drag (at the tamer end). It always seems a little odd to me although harmless enough. Doubt most kids even notice. Does anyone have an issue with that?

SnackSizeRaisin, I think a little ‘Compare and Contrast’ exercise from these two images will give you your answer.

Mr Tumble is on the left. Aida H.Dee, DQSH aficionado all around the country, including dragged in by the Tate Liverpool, is on the right.

Yeah I have yet to see the episode of Something Special where Aunt Polly does a sensual dance in stripper heels with her arse cheeks out in front of the kids.

A bit of WhatAboutary there.

Let's focus on the actual event instead. What do you think of it? Should babies and children should be exposed to sexualised content?

HairyPooter · 04/03/2023 18:55

Timeflieshey · 04/03/2023 18:21

@PurpleWisteria1 I agree, it does look odd..but why fake it? Also if it was fake, if you were one of the mums in it, wouldn’t you be going nuts and saying it was fake etc?

Maybe Purple is one of the mums?

ScrollingLeaves · 04/03/2023 18:57

As an aside from the obvious licensing breaches, My 15 year old dd has already been brainwashed by this trans rights movement, it’s taken many months in convincing her that women’s rights and privacy is in danger as a result, before anyone flames me, I’m not anti trans at all, far from it actually, but they should be campaigning for their own cause rather than shoving their ideologies on everyone else.

Its taken so many years for women to get where we are, it’s like the next and future generations are being radicalised into believing it’s acceptable for trans people to be sharing changing rooms and prisons with women where it’ll only be infiltrated with peadoes and sex offenders that see an opportunity to harm us.

Sorry for the rant

Re. your rant, I agree. Well done for persuading your daughter that some protections for women matter, and she is brave too to even listen to you given the strong cult nature of transgender ideology that could see her ‘shunned’ for doing so.

If you do, please ignore the Gov. response so far saying sex based spaces are allowed. The point is they are not provided due to the fear of discrimination litigation through clashes in badly thought out laws and lack of clarity that “sex” is biological. Men who say they are women ( most have not had surgery) may trump actual women in discrimination law suits against sex based provisions or spaces.

HairyPooter · 04/03/2023 19:02

Actually, @PurpleWisteria1, I'm curious to know why your first visceral reaction was that it was fake?

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 04/03/2023 19:03

I’ve Never Seen Mr Tumble’s Arse Cheeks.

Can Mr Tumble walk in those giant Perspex stripper heels?

Mr Tumble deffo can’t do a split handstand on a folding chair, of this I am quite certain.

OK, so you agree it's inappropriate.
Why would you jump straight to saying it's fake without any proof though?
What managed to convince you that it's fake?
I've seen plenty of TRAs trying to claim that on Twitter but their "evidence" fell down within seconds.
Why were you more likely to believe them than your own eyes?

It is not fake. Some media has blurred background but original video is easily found.

I have been through where to find archived versions of stills on the organisers URL before they made everything private. The performers have been identified. The company owners are known .

Those on twitter saying it is fake are wishful thinking.

ITS FAKE.

I see that you are less certain now. Unfortunately, it's all real and the images and video comes from their own website.

They and their supporters have claimed that they're fake, for some bizarre reason.

Or not so bizarre, because they understand full well that the whole thing is beyond the Pale.

Never mind the cheeks, you can practically see what some of those people had for dinner.

It made me think of this. It's such white, middle class, try hard bullshit.

To be upset that toddlers and babies are being subjected to this.
TheySeeMeRowling · 04/03/2023 19:35

Why are people on this thread trying to defend mothers who take their children to shows like this? These women should have their babies taken off them and never allowed near children again.

I wasn’t aware of this but have now signed it, as has Dh. Hope it reaches the required amount of signatures by April.

The article is absolutely right. The push to normalise things like DQST and the push to make it socially acceptable for mums to take their babies to this type of "performance" is dangerous and yes we need to protect our children. There is something deeply malevolent about the agenda behind this and the sick people who are trying to promote what amounts to paedophilia.
