This is abuse. What kind of parent takes their baby to a show like this?

The pics and vids make it look like great fun tbh. Most of the people there appear to be enjoying it. Seems it’s mostly for the adults with babies just chilling?

You must have watched a different video then.

Would you expose your child to sexual acts normally?

God! 2 years! I typed the words in the wrong order into my search engine...the results are not pleasant!

OMFG, I remembered the order thank fuck, I dont even want to imagine what images I might get typing it in the wrong order. You need more cheese or something boiled.

SunShineAllMine · 04/03/2023 11:25

I guess like those invested in sterilising their children and exposing them to these events, those who are useless at safeguarding at work - thus also at home - will be very defensive about their life choices.

Please. I missed the rainbow off on the first search. My eyes are still stinging from all the scrubbing so i can't see to cut my cheese straight.

I'll have it with some crackers if you've got some!

Ta very muchly!

Super fun - just like taking your kids to the strip club.

Absolutely no issue with men, naked except for stripper heels and a thong dancing for toddlers and babies. Perfect wholesome entertainment. 🙄

Lets do more of it, maybe bring Nan as well.

The video show non contact child abuse, as explained by a social worker on this thread. That you can't see this is very concerning and is another demonstration of how sexual boundaries have been lowered so much we can't even see them.

EsmaCannonball · 04/03/2023 11:43

The argument that this is going to help children become more accepting of gay people is so disingenuous. Just as things were getting better for women, we've regressed to a time of Botox, extreme porn, pinkification and stereotypes. Now the same thing is happening to gay men and lesbians. This particular corner of drag culture - based more on dressing up and lame sexualised performances than on actual talent - has, for some reason, become the go-to representation of gay men in the UK. It's regressive. It's not going to make life any easier for a boy who wants to be a footballer to come out. It's not going to help a gay teenage boy who has no interest in being flamboyant and 'fabulous' discover who he really is. It is going to hand ammunition to those who want to bully gay children as perverts or not real men.

Crikey. Your idea of fun is to take your babes in arms to a sexual show and drink wine? You think it's appropriate for mums to expose their children to this? You see no safeguarding issues?

Imagine being so desperate to look cool that you pretend to think jokes about child rape are funny.

That's everything which is wrong with the situation, in a nutshell.

SunShineAllMine · 04/03/2023 11:58

So the only explanation for this behaviour from women is that some people want to be edgy?

No other explanation?

So we safeguard by not being trendy and edgy in future and carry on as we are?

HairyPooter · 04/03/2023 11:59

I know people who roll their eyes when Queer Theory is mentioned. But it needs to be said repeatedly.

Queer Theory is essentially about breaking down barriers. All barriers. Including access to and sex with children.

The uptick in DQST and these kinds of events are part of breaking down that barrier. Normalising adult sexual behaviour around children.

nutroasty · 04/03/2023 12:00

DISGUSTING on every level.

No one has said that, the solution rarely is the 'opposite' of the explanation.

De-sensitization is a long, slow, patient process. With a goal in mind. And a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Read the Denton document, and if you have a really strong stomach read the paedophile manifesto. Yes, this is a real, serious and absolutely revolting document that has been archived.

Making badly fucked up boundaries trendy is a key part of it. Relying on naviety, good intentions and nice believing the best of people is also a key part of it, and it is openly seen as something to take full advantage of

As is so often said on the relationships board: being nice and reasonable takes two parties with good intentions and the capacity for it to work. Otherwise you are not being nice, or the bigger person. You are being a mug.

This thread seems to be populated by safeguarding experts.
I'd be interested to know the thoughts of someone who actually works in safeguarding.... Rather than people just using the word.
This is aimed at parents of very young babies, babies are with their parents at all times. Why not focus your attention on the poor regulation of many children's activity groups and the police failings around actual abuse? Ah right because this is about being anti trans, not about safeguarding.

This is the number one UK website for mothers. Mothers are supposed to be safeguarding experts. It's literally what we are. I don't need a class or diploma in safeguarding to tell me how to safeguard my children. And I also know that near naked men performing sexually for children is wrong, on every level.

Also there were toddlers there, there is a picture of one toddler copying the sexual gyrations. You're literally training little girls to be sex workers, to perform sexually for men.

FilthyforFirth · 04/03/2023 12:15

I love drag and have been to several shows. Not a chance in hell I would take my kids to see it. Same I wouldnt with a burlesque show. It is isnt appropriate to take children to see anything overtly sexual.

I am very liberal but this is madness.

I think it is shaming - accompanied by the text that this is child abuse, and what kind of parent would do this? Chances are they are not deliberately evil parents, chances are they have not thought this through. As discussion on the wrongs of subjecting children to drag shows grows, at least some of these women will most likely change their minds about acceptance of this, but these images and those women’s faces will remain on the internet and brought up time and time again. The internet is a relatively new tool and we don’t yet have a complete picture of the good it can do, or the damage it can cause.

I do wonder what your stance is on my third concern -the publishing of of the children’s faces on the internet?

So the shame is the Daily Mail text? Not the women who decided it was a good way to pass an afternoon bringing their children to a sex show? And it's not their fault their images are out there in the internet. The women themselves having a great time in front of naked men performing obscene acts in front of their children. Well I say shame on them. For not protecting their children.

The last problem those children have is their images in public, a baby changes rapidly and nobody will be able to identify them. They also will have done some good. Other mothers might think twice before bringing their toddlers to a sex show. And that is a good thing.

Ah, maybe this is why Bring Your Baby To Drag Queen Bingo is now a thing?

Get the Nans involved?

(Sorry/not sorry for stereotyping Nans as liking bingo)

Hands up I hate drag, I think it's demeaning of women, mocking us. But I wouldn't want it banned and it's entirely up to you to go and see it, burlesque too. Perfectly happy for you or anyone to go pay for such shows. And I wouldn't judge you on it, just not my cup of tea. But adults should be able to have those choices.

On top of having a door smashed in a face of those who had the guts to safeguard single sex spaces in law, there are now calls for insulting heritics people disagree with to be stoned.

SinnerBoy · 04/03/2023 12:30

"She's known for ... calling for the sterilisation of trans people."

No, you fucking liars, she's known for pointing out that Lupron, hormones and reassignment surgery results in trans people becoming sterile, you mendacious tossers.

These look photoshopped/fake. I highly doubt anyone would take their child to a show like this, or that drag queens would do it? Seems unlikely

The company that organises it has admitted to it.

I agree - working mothers have nothing to do with this.
But I can't get my head around the fact that so many women suspended their critical thinking and took their babies! Why?
Did they not think?
Were they afraid of saying no?
Or something else?

These mothers have lost their critical thinking skills through living bubble wrapped lives. They not only want to look cool, they are used to being kept safe by the powers that be and not having to think things through. Seat belts, no smoking in public, knives/calpol/alcohol not to be sold to anyone looking younger than 25 without ID. "Oh, it says bring your babies, it must be ok."

But when there, they...stayed?? Are they sheeple?
