Sam Smith of course and his latest ridiculousness! Don't we already have non gender words for this? ie angler, fisher etc. even fisherperson would sound normal.

To be fair, Sam Smith has been very famous for a decade now and has won five Grammys and an Oscar. If you haven’t heard of them then that’s you living under a rock rather than Sam Smith not being very famous.
