to wonder if a 5’7 female is ‘big’

I’m a 5’7 and a half female, in your completely honest opinion do you think I’m tall or average height. I feel massive and huge next to every other girl, don’t wear heels ever and hate it.
im just under 9st and feel I just look like this absolute giant.
I never am called tall by anyone but believe I am.
In your opinion is 5’7-5’8 ‘really tall’ for a female

I'm the same height and am always referred to as tall. I know a few taller women but most are shorter.

You being 5ft 10 does not make her average, it makes her shorter than you but still well above UK average height of 5ft 3.

OP, I am 5ft 8 and I would call myself “tall” but I would never say “really tall”

Tall compared to the older generation, average now. I'm over 6" so think you sound small! It sounds like a lot of it is in your head.

I'd say that 5ft 7 is pretty tall, less so amongst younger people, but l wouldnt have assumed it's really tall enough to attract comments. Is 5ft 3 short?
If like the majority of women you prefer a man who is a little taller than you this might narrow your pool a bit (assuming you would be dating men) but I wouldn't have thought eg you'd have trouble buying clothes or using standard furniture etc.
Has something happened OP or are you just pondering?

I only clicked on your thread because I wondered in what way you were half female, but now I know you are wholly female I will say that yes you are a bit taller than the average woman but you’re hardly a giant are you?!!

I'm 5 foot 8. When I was at school 20+ years ago, I was always one of the tallest girls and felt like I stood out, but now I feel im just slightly above average if I'm in my trainers. On the odd occasion I have heels on then I do feel tall. Children are definitely getting taller I've noticed and if I was at school now I wouldn't stand out.

I’m 5ft 6.5. I don’t feel massive (well I do but it’s nothing to do with my height 😩). But people at work who were shorter than me would always comment that I could reach stuff etc I’d say 5ft 9 and above was really tall for a woman.

5’7” is a great height, same weight and I love it. Own it. My DD is 5’10” and proudly says that she is taller than the average man.

I’m 6ft and don’t feel all that tall, although I know I am. Still wear heels though.
5ft 7 is not all that tall, certainly not a giant.

I’m the same height as you and would say tall side of average, but in no way a giantess.

I’m a tad over 5’8” and I definitely don’t feel like a giant .

I'm 5'7. Most of the teenagers around here are taller than me.

Statistically above average but I am a similar height and weight. I know loads of people of similar height, so no, I don't feel like a giant.

At school I was tall because all my friends (a lot were Asian) were very Petite.

I'm 6'1". I wear heels. Theres nothing wrong with being tall! But I wouldn't regard you as such anyway.

Same here. I'm 53 and 5'8. I don't really feel all that tall any more, though I was always "that tall lassie" at school.
My DD is 5'10" and wears heels often.

I'm 5ft 7 and taller than all of my friends. But some of them are 5,3 and 5,4.

I think I look a bit ridiculous in photos, and avoid wearing heels. I remember going to America many years ago and wore heels to a club, I was taller than most of the room, including the men and it was very weird.

You're above average for sure, think the official average is about 5'4 for women (rising with every generation). But definitely not giant!

I always thought 5'7-8 was the perfect height. Not reliant on heels, but can wear them without being taller than all the men!

I'm 5'9 and felt similarly conscious of it in my teens, but love it now and wouldn't change it. I also learned that short blokes are the only people who ever comment!
