Is anyone else following this case? It’s absolutely horrible and has really scared me to the point of locking my bedroom door when I sleep every night! The more that comes out in the news, the more bizarre and confusing the case seems to get too. So scary to think what people are capable of 😞

The Prosecutors Legal Briefs is an excellent podcast and they go through the affidavit and explain what probably happened and why -
especially interesting with things such as why
the one witness was unharmed etc

Re: the social media thing, it seems it has now been verified that BK used social media to repeatedly message the victims and was repeat seemingly being ignored

Thanks for posting that article OP. It seems BK was heavily involved in SM. If it is true that he's an incel, not getting replies from Kaylee would have tied in to his beliefs and made him angry, possibly.

I realise that's a lot of hypothesising but just thinking whilst typing

Things are moving forward. BK indicted by Grand Jury and will enter his plea at the arraignment on Monday.

😬 yes I felt a bit haunted by this as well.

I've assumed he will plead Not Guilty, that seems to be how he's playing it.

I can’t find anything about when the actual trial is expected to start, I suppose they have to wait for his plea before arranging it.

I’ve also been following it on Reddit. They’re saying a show called Dateline has reported that BK’s sister had suspicions about him being involved.

That's something I don't understand. Why did he leave two alive? So that the others would be found before too much time had passed?

I am not convinced that he wasn't there for one of the parties or in the house at a time when everyone was gone scoping it out. He was following at least one of them on SM, correct?

Apparently that was just a theory and it's been proven he wasn't "following " any of them on social media officially, I mean they had pretty open tik toks etc so I'm not sure they needed to be requested .
I follow this daily on Reddit , I don't know why but it ended up this way , the dateline I watched it last night as someone kindly shared it to one of the Facebook groups for us in the uk and Australia who couldn't watch.
Yet again it isn't fact it's all "sources " so I don't know how true it is regarding his sister.
I mean on Reddit they're saying that a trial if it goes to trial could take a few years yet

Time goes so fast, a few months ago I thought it will be so long before any more process in the case. Now some more is coming up.

If it's not BK (or they suspect but can't prove) that would be a complete fucking nightmare.

Can you imagine ? I mean it was bad enough when they told the community they were safe when they hadn't arrested anyone

I’ve read stuff saying it’s thought he was very much after one of them specifically…..can’t remember which one. I thought he had found to be following one of them on Instagram? Maybe he knew her room was upstairs…..she was unexpectedly sharing a room with someone else, so maybe he felt he had to kill the other? Maybe he went in the wrong upstairs room first? Or felt he had to kill the occupants of the other room as they’d hear stuff? I think the other two were two floors further down? So either he didn’t know they were there or thought they wouldn’t have heard or by then was panicking they might have heard and might have called the police so wanted to leave quickly.

In an interview with PEOPLE, an investigator in the case said that two weeks before the four Idaho students were killed in their beds, Kohberger repeatedly sent messages on Instagram to one of the female victims, who did not respond to the texts.

It’s possible he’s headed into the house and straight upstairs to Maddie’s room and found her in bed with Kaylee. Killed them both and as he was leaving, either discovered or was discovered by Xana, who was still awake watching Tik toks and eating a food delivery.

One of the surviving flatmates heard someone say something like “someone’s here”. It’s horrendous to think about poor Xana and also Ethan being potentially awake. I’ve read that Xana had defensive wounds. Then, fatigued from the attacks and the adrenaline, BK left and possibly didn’t see the flatmate open her bedroom door, and didn’t know there was a flatmate in the room below.

He’s said to have driven by the house at least 12 times in the months between moving there and the murders (Aug - Nov). I don’t think it’s widely believed he went to any parties - he was a lot older than the college students and would have stood out like a sore thumb.

This is the thing there are so many theories about who he followed on socials , who he targeted , kaylees dad said her wounds were very different to the other victims wounds , people say he targeted maddie and kaylee had moved out and was sleeping over in maddies room that night.
Then you get the theories that kaylee was walking the dog Murphy and someone was watching the house from a tree , I'm

And i think for me it's the sheer speed that "someone " murdered them all in and no noise

Yeah for a while I thought the target was Kaylee because she had mostly moved out and was only back for the weekend to show her friends her new car, and had posted about it on her open Instagram. So potentially he saw that and thought this was his last chance? It’s just so awful. Like something out of a horror film.

I think this case has shook everyone because when you think about someone breaking in, you assume you’d wake up and have the chance to defend yourself. The head fuck is that when I’m alone, I sleep with a tonfa (martial arts wooden weapon) under my pillow. But clearly they didn’t stand a chance, murdered in their beds like that and so it removes any shadow of doubt that a weapon under my pillow won’t help!
