I don't mind a watch or wedding ring but don't like a necklace, bracelet or earring on a man.

Depends on the person for me, some look nice as long as the chain isn't too blingy/chunky

I was dubious when my DS received a chain for his 18th a couple of years ago, but it was a slightly chunky chain. Over time though I realised it actually suited him, so when he left for Uni we bought him a really nice one - slightly more delicate - and it looks lovely on him.

Anisina · 05/01/2023 08:53

I don't really care.

DilemmaDelilah · 05/01/2023 08:53

Depends on what it looks like really. My DH wears a silver bracelet - it is his medi-alert bracelet which finds me all the details of his condition and medications. He has very elegant wrists and I think it looks nice!

Flavabobble · 05/01/2023 08:54

I like it.

IWasFunBeforeMum · 05/01/2023 08:56

Don't like it either.

Itsvalentino · 05/01/2023 08:58

Watch, wedding ring and bracelet are fine, I’m not a fan of men wearing necklaces or earrings.

caramellandscape · 05/01/2023 08:58

I think it's sexy!

I think it depends on associations you have - eg I've mainly seen sexy male celebrities wear jewellery. If I grew up around oily middled age types wearing jewellery I wouldn't like it either

WandaWonder · 05/01/2023 08:58

Like anything it depends if it fitted with that person as in a small stud in an ear fine a bull nose ring no

A simple necklace fine, a great big medallion probably not

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 05/01/2023 09:01

Not a fan.

DH doesn't regularly wear any jewellery, not even a wedding ring.

He occasionally wears a watch but not regularly. He wore a magnetic bracelet for a wrist problem for a while and wears cufflinks for smart occasions.

My Dad and FIL just wear a watch.

I don't mind a wedding ring but generally dislike men in jewellery

Talipesmum · 05/01/2023 09:01

Completely up to them. Feels weirdly sexist / stereotypey to make any declarations on what men should or shouldn’t wear on the basis that they’re men.

SheWoreYellow · 05/01/2023 09:02

I like it if it’s in a surfer dude sort of style.

NameIsBryceQuinlan · 05/01/2023 09:03

It's fine by me 🤷‍♀️

My husband has a nose piercing like Lenny Kravitz style . It suits him

Totally agree, it’s sexist to suggest being male means you can’t wear jewellery, if someone wants to wear it leave them be it doesn’t hurt me.

helpfulperson · 05/01/2023 09:04

It's totally up to them. Just like it's totally up to women if they do.

WildRosie · 05/01/2023 09:05

I (man) have a few watches but that's all. I'm not married but I wouldn't have a wedding ring if I was. Two of my three brothers do have wedding rings and watches but nothing else. My brother-in-law, uncles and Dad just had watches, no rings or bling of any sort. I personally don't care for jewellery on men - I think it looks tacky.

thunderstruckk · 05/01/2023 09:05

Not a fan of piercings (anywhere!) on men, but watches / wedding rings / the occasional bracelet isn't something I take notice off. Anything on the Mr T scale is a huge no no for me 😂

Iliveditwizbit · 05/01/2023 09:08

I could never date a man with a single earring. Well or a pair tbh. A wedding ring on the man you’re married to is a very sexy thing.

WinterFoxes · 05/01/2023 09:09

depends. I don't like big signet rings and brash chains, but I quite like some of the more delicate arty jewellery on a man.

SantaBakula · 05/01/2023 09:11

I like it aa long as it is not huge chunky stuff , a thin curb chain bracelet or necklace, a small ear stud , on or two rings all good in my book.
Lots of peirceings, rings on each finger , and a necklace you could tow a car with , not my taste in me or women.
And the trend for having huge holes in the ear lobes are a really turn off .

I feel the same about tattoos, small well done discreet ones I really like , large or badly done ones , nah not for me.

BeyondMyWits · 05/01/2023 09:13

My Dh wears a Holzkern wood/metal bracelet.
Looks good on him.

OriginalUsername2 · 05/01/2023 09:13

I find anything but a watch too “fancy” on a man.

Highlyflavouredgravy · 05/01/2023 09:16

A watch and a wedding ring and some nice cufflinks when needed. That's it.

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/01/2023 09:28

No I don't like it either.

I also hate pink shirts and coloured cord trousers on men.

Call me old fashioned!

IrmaGord · 05/01/2023 09:29

Is this another Harry thread? Because he said Willy grabbed his necklace?

mondaytosunday · 05/01/2023 09:38

Depends. Lots of gold is yuck but in a Johnny Depp Visage way I quite like!
