I don't mind a watch or wedding ring but don't like a necklace, bracelet or earring on a man.

If surfer / hippy style, on nice tanned skin, then yes, silver rings, small hoop earrings and thong bracelets most definitely.
But gold or diamonds or on pasty white skin, then no, not at all. Yuck.
....So probably it just comes down to the kind of guys I find attractive anyway.

A necklace on a man immediately gives me the total ick. Watch and wedding ring only.

To pull off anything else the man would have to fit quite a specific aesthetic, surfer/Johnny Depp/musician type.

Dave from Bracknell who works as an IT consultant, no.

It’s awful when women wear trousers as well, isn’t it. Or don’t do their hair nicely. It’s just not feminine enough.

Menomenon · 05/01/2023 10:08

Absolutely love it.

Like all outfits accessories can really add something. It just gives the impression of effort.

One of my favourites is professional men wearing friendship bracelets their daughters made them. Cool and confident and sweet.

JesusHeKnowsMe · 05/01/2023 10:09

When men wear little diamanté studs in their ears 🤮🤮🤮 or a hoop 🤮🤮🤮

GinoVino · 05/01/2023 10:12

I like some jewellery on men. But I absolutely hate the boho, surfer style, sharks tooth, beaded style that was very popular in the early 2000's. Similar to what Prince Harry still wears.

I misread bracelets as bralets 🙄
I don't mind BUT I think if DH started rocking a gold chain. I'd be wondering what's happened to him.
I'm undecided about man buns and earrings on men.

Dotjones · 05/01/2023 10:16

YANBU, aside from watch/wedding ring men should only wear jewellery if they are professional darts players.

KimberleyClark · 05/01/2023 10:17

I like a watch. A man’s left wrist looks odd and bare without one. Lots of younger men don’t wear them any more because they use their phones to tell the time.

Yayyayitsaholiholiday · 05/01/2023 10:19

Not keen on the cock and ball jewellery you see at nudist beaches - often very chunky and heavy looking, peering out from under a large belly!!

housemaus · 05/01/2023 10:19

Big fan of a nose piercing on men. Rings and watches fine too. Not keen on necklaces although I don't know why? I think because most of men's necklaces I see tend to be ugly haha.

KimberleyClark · 05/01/2023 10:21

Cufflinks also ok. As long as not too flashy.

AuntieMarys · 05/01/2023 10:21

I hate it! But then I don't like jewellery myself. Sovereign rings and chunky gold chains are the worst.

Rebootnecessary · 05/01/2023 10:23

It depends on the jewellery. But I'd say the same about women too. I'm definitely in the 'less is more' camp.

Howmanycups · 05/01/2023 10:30

If I had to choose between as@Yayyayitsaholiholiday mentioned the cock and ball spectacular and Harry with his pearl earring......
It would be Harry every time.

No - cannot bear it
As bad as a tattoo

MaverickGooseGoose · 05/01/2023 10:39

Depends on the style of the man and the style of the jewellery.

ItsMeHiImTheProblem · 05/01/2023 10:39

I love men wearing jewellery, as long as it's not a thick gold chain. Leather wrist bands, chunky silver rings, leather neck thongs, all good.

ItsMeHiImTheProblem · 05/01/2023 10:40

Also like one earring in men.

Animallover87 · 05/01/2023 10:56

I'm with you OP, it gives me the ick!

Picklypickles · 05/01/2023 11:08

Not really, but then I don't wear jewellery myself. I'm not a fan of vanity.

emotionalmotionsicknesss · 05/01/2023 11:09

I like it a lot. My boyfriend wears a necklace that I bought him, a ring, a metal bangle and either a ring or a sparkly safety pin earring in his ear. Also has his nose ring.

emotionalmotionsicknesss · 05/01/2023 11:10

Also the great thing about DP is that when I’m shopping for jewellery for him I don’t have to put in “men’s” or “unisex”. He looks beautiful in ;and prefers) women’s jewellery.

fantasmasgoria1 · 05/01/2023 11:11

It doesn't bother me. I like it in a goth style though.
