DH says this is gross

Snipped open the plastic on a pizza with kitchen scissors. Then used same scissors to cut the pizza into slices. DH actually said this was “vile and unsanitary” as the plastic could have been exposed to anything.

I’ll admit that for things like this I’m on the more disgusting end of the spectrum and he’s on the more disgusted but I honestly thought this was uncontroversial?

I'd never even considered that before! Good point and actually, I think about all the million Starbucks cans of cold coffee I buy at the shop near work with no idea who's touched them... but I won't start cleaning them now, nothing's killed me yet haha.

Well I don't have pizza scissors and I've no need to buy any as I have a pizza wheel that does the job brilliantly.

Please feel free to keep cutting your pizza in the way that works best for you. I've tried it and hated it, so I'll stick to the one that works for me.

This is where 3 years of masking up, social distancing and queueing for repeated jabs have landed us.
You could always suggest that, if DH is so vulnerable to germs, he might like to take over the pizza cooking himself and thus guarantee the high level of sanitation he demands?
(Unless he's having his pizza raw, I'd bet the 200 degrees plus temperature inside the oven would have antisepticised his meal.)

If I can't find my pizza cutter I'll use a big knife.
My kitchen Scissors don't get washed too often so they'd be pretty disgusting to use anyway.

I was shown in Sweden to pre bunch of herbs in a cup, stick scissors in and chop like that. Game changer when camping!

I tend to use a sharp knife to rip into the plastic, and then put the knife back in the drawer!

I'm pushing 40, and have yet to catch some sickening illness from all my unsanitary habits!

My handy life tip is that whenever someone comes up with a mad rule about the way I do something then that becomes their job from that point forward.

I'm very open to helpful tips, but stupid bollocks like how to cut a pizza and what to cut it with? No. That's your job now.
