I'll start.
I've told no one this but my partner. I'm 24 and think Snt Nicholas/santa is real. Why? Because I distinctly remember hearing him. I was at my family members house and it was Christmas eve. I don't know why but my eyes shot open and it must of been around 2am. I could hear the soft chime of bells and it got louder and louder until it was audibly clear what it was. Then I heard a bang on the roof and I kid you not hooves! Loads of hooves and bells. The odd thing was that I wasn't excited as you would expect to be seeing Santa. I suddenly became paralyzed with this weird sense of fear.

I remember hiding in my bed and pulling the blanket over my eyes. I thought if I pretended to sleep he would go away. I then heard heavy sounds of footsteps around the house and a man's voice grunting. After what seemed like forever the noises of the man stopped and the hooves took off. After I was sure the coast was clear I ran to my bedroom window to see if I could catch a glimpse but I saw nothing. That morning I didn't tell anyone but simply asked all my male family members if anyone had gotten up over night. They hadn't (all are quite elderly). I know what I experienced. My partner thinks it was a delusion or one of those realistic dreams. But the experience was so vivid and unusual that I know it was real. No one would believe me so I don't bother saying it!

Okay your turn

Who do you think leaves the presents?

I think you had also paralysis. It can seem exactly the same as reality.

Sparklesocks · 25/10/2022 09:40

So every other parent in the world puts the gifts out themselves but Santa actually exists and delivered solely to you, just once?

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 09:40

@Cyshion I could move. I just chose to stay I'm bed and pulling the quilt over me

what a tight git!

LondonWolf · 25/10/2022 09:43

At age 9 in a rural area, at my boarding school with no other buildings around for miles, at around 10 pm as I lay in my bed the whitest, brightest light from outside, lit up the room, so bright it hurt my eyes and woke up several of the other girls in the room, we were too scared to look out of the window but there was no explanation for this light, which lasted about five minutes and then suddenly snapped off, no roads round to the back of the school, nothing but fields for miles and miles behind. We came to the conclusion it was something extra terrestrial examining the area. I still sneakily think this Grin

I once saw a bichon frisé dog walk a good ten yards on its front legs in the Jardins de Tuileries.

Doesn't that make it worse? Without the presents, father Christmas becomes a creepy old man watching children as they sleep.

My bichon used to be able to walk on her hind legs for ages like a human. Like right round the house 😂 she’s too old now though :(

What a prick

LondonWolf · 25/10/2022 09:48

Also living with and "in a relationship" with a man who would disappear for days at a time with no word and barely bother to hide the fact that he was seeing other multiple women, but refused to leave the family home and genuinely couldn't comprehend why "the relationship" had to end. 15 years on he still complains bitterly of his unfair treatment to anyone who will listen 🙄

That’s so unnecessary.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 25/10/2022 09:53

VerifiedBot2351 · 25/10/2022 09:49

That’s so unnecessary.

Its a genuine question, not unnecessary at all, if it was a close friend or family member spouting they had heard santa and he was REAL then I would seriously be getting them help for their delusions.

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 09:55

@ZeroFuchsGiven no just experienced something that I think is supernatural/over worldly and know how ridiculous it sounds so wanted to share it on an anonymous forum without being judged and in the hopes that people had stories they wanted to share too....

OP posts:
Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 09:56

Also I'm not shouting it. Just thought it was an interesting thing to share. I don't go up to people on the street claiming he is real. Calm yourself

I think you're just being sneery actually, on what is clearly a light heated thread.

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 09:57

@Itstarts i think that's what made me feel disturbed about it all. It wasn't a yay santa is here moment. It was like something isn't right and this isn't exciting it's terrifying

Miffee · 25/10/2022 09:58

I have very vivid lucid dreams. Often I wake up in the dream and realise I still dreaming and will aim to make the most of it. I can't do it at will, I have normal dreams or no dreams far more frequently, but have truly bizarre and amazing lucid dreams experiences.

I never tell people because it makes me sound like a lying teenager.

Ourlittleharmonica · 25/10/2022 09:58

One time I dreamed that I was flying and I flew in through my bedroom window, saw myself asleep, and hopped back into my body. Jolted awake and have been convinced for years that it wasn't a dream

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 09:58

@LondonWolf that is crazy. Reminds me of the unsolved mystery episode I watched on Netflix about people who all saw the same thing and was convinced it was aliens

Maybe it wasn’t FC but Krampus?

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 10:08

Wishuponastar5 · 25/10/2022 10:08

@Tulipvase who is krampus

Kind of like the anti Christmas.
