Serious question, how many adults, who presumably drink several hot drinks per day, every day, for their entire adults lives, all of a sudden jerk and spill it if you’re 30yo, and drink 5 cuppas a day, that’s 22,000 cups in your adult life - how many do you suddenly spill for no reason when sitting down?

Have you never spilled a drink? Nobody plans to, but sometimes, especially when holding a squirmy baby, it does happen.

As someone whose had to sit with a grandchild who had their burns degloved, I'd have gone absolutely mental. Sitting in a specialist burns unit surrounded by young children was honestly one of the most horrific experiences of my adult life. DD was washing up when said grandchild (little monkey of a climber) pulled a chair up behind her to get into the treat cupboard and put their hand onto the hob surface..... it happened in seconds.

I'd ban your DH from being anywhere near the baby if he's showing such a startling lack of common sense tbh.

Several apparently, if you're my husband, who appears to drink half, spill half on the floor and then flick some up the walls for good measure.
