Not to like the Globe Theatre calling me a bitch?

OK, not to my face. But following the non-binary Joan of Arc play they’ve shared a ‘terfs stop being transphobic challenge’ referring to anyone who doesn’t believe in gender identity as a bitch.

It’s a shame. I’ve been to some amazing plays at the Globe. But they’ve made their position on feminists pretty clear, so I won’t be going back.

It's not whether those terms are derogatory. It's that they are used to denote sex.

It's stereotyping. It's confining masculinity to men, and femininity to women.

dontdothistome · 08/10/2022 16:44

There are countries around the world (including in Europe) where there are no such things as male/female toilets. There might be just one toilet!

Datun · 08/10/2022 16:45

dontdothistome · 08/10/2022 16:42

He's not my builder is he? Because, I would strongly campaign for separate facilities it he is your husband.

Yeah, like that. Stereotyping.

And what are you doing in relation to transwomen only to stereotype them as a danger to women?

Understanding that men commit 98% of all sex crime, isn't stereotyping, it's statistics.

Otherwise risk assessment and safeguarding wouldn't exist.

Ok, have you crime statistics from a country with single sex toilet facilities to England where there are male and female toilet facilities?

Have you been day drinking with @Passmethewhat ?

I think it is quite obvious what at least 2 of the posters on here are up to.

No thank you.

TWAM.

Women NEED single SEX spaces to preserve safety and dignity.

Oh yes. It’s quite clear. And funny to be honest. The claims are getting more and more ridiculous. I’m just holding out for clownfish or seahorses.

IcakethereforeIam · 08/10/2022 17:10

Has anyone tried to trans Jo yet, it's been ages since I read the book but iirc her name was masculinised, she cut her hair and was called 'my fellow', pretty damning. Other women (real and fictional) have been transed on scantier grounds.

Probably. I seem to remember them trying to trans Louisa M Alcott.

I'm sorry but didn't J.K. Rowling write under that name as she felt she would sell more books as a presumed male? She's not above her own standards.

IcakethereforeIam · 08/10/2022 17:15

Apology accepted.

Passmethewhat · 08/10/2022 17:15

'She' is also now Robert Galbraith?

Men should be allowed in women's spaces because some children are born with one kidney, was probably the highlight.

And dontdothistome, I can't be entirely certain, but I think you want me to list sexual assault in loos in every country in Europe, cross referenced with the exact type of public facilities they occurred in?

Which is possibly a close second to Bonkers Reasons why men should access women's spaces.

RUFISRUF · 08/10/2022 17:16

And that has what to do with the price of fish @Passmethewhat ? Or are you conceding women are oppressed by their sex?

She has no issue changing her sex to serve her purposes, yet she castigates those who do?

Errrrr….. what exactly are you drinking? Can I have some? It bus be really good stuff. How are initials changing sex? Is the letter J only used by males now, or is it the K that’s masculine?

I still want to know what living as a woman means.
