Do you wear foundation on an "ordinary" day outside the house?

Wondering, completely neutrally (each woman obviously should decide for herself). Obviously it's nobody else's business on an individual level, but I'm wondering whether more women do or don't statistically rather than about why individuals do or don't.

No. I do wear tinted moisturiser, concealer, blusher and eyebrow pencil.

For an average day I use a tinted moisturiser.

Foundation would be for a special night out or important work event. my skin is so much better now I’ve stopped with thick foundation everyday.

If you're wondering about the statistics at a population level then you're hardly going to get a representative sample with a random Mumsnet post.

Nope. Not keen on foundation really. I use a tinted moisturiser if my skin looks a bit rubbish - the Origins Ginzing one is great.

No...tinted moisturiser if I'm 'semi' dressing up, like a nice meal or something. Foundation only if I'm putting a full face on for a party or night out which is very rare.

The rest of the time it's either no make up or just a bit of concealer.

I don’t even wear it on a night out. I don’t wear any make up. Last time I did was for my niece’s wedding and she’s got 3 children now…

I wear foundation, blusher and eyeliner (pencil) every day. It takes me about a minute to apply it all and I think I look better. I used to do it to hide spots but my skin's a lot better now...I've just carried on. I don't look properly 'made-up'. I wouldn't know how to do that.

Several times I've forgotten the eyeliner and every time I've realised when I've had a comment about how tired I look. So it must be doing something.

I wear a light foundation every day, it gives me a bit more confidence and without it I feel like I look ill! I have quite dark circles under my eyes and it helps to disguise them.

I do. You can't see it though and it's mostly all rubbed off by lunch time. It's the only makeup I ever wear, though I might add some mascara on an evening out!

No, but I wear it for work in the office 3-4 days a week. On my WFH days I don't wear makeup, but I do touch up my Zoom camera! At the weekend, usually no makeup if it's just me and the family. If I am meeting a friend in the daytime would wear mascara and tinted moisturiser. If on a night out (sadly rare!) I would wear foundation, mascara, lipstick, blusher.

I do. I have rosacea and I’m sensitive to light.
The spf and foundation I use protect my skin.
I look very unwell if I don’t wear it.
