AIBU to not have the 4th covid jab ?

I've had all my covid vaccines up to date. I also had covid a few months ago.. I think I can get the next vaccine too if I want it. I was a bit surprised to be invited again..

Covid was just like a cold for me.

I'm 35, have MS ( not on any medication and I don't really have any symptoms apart from fatigue ). So no disability from it, no trouble walking or anything in my body- except fatigue.

I don't really want to have another vaccine. Is that unreasonable ?

I don’t think it’s unreasonable,
no.

BashfulClam · 29/09/2022 21:17

Discuss it with the MS society or your specialist.if your cu diction worsens will covid barn you. My father had MS and it was pneumonia from a mild chest infection that killed him. I feel the same though:

Animallover87 · 29/09/2022 21:18

I had a horrible reaction to the second one and won't be having any more.

Beginningless · 29/09/2022 21:21

Not unreasonable at all.

They've said that I'm not at any greater risk than any other woman my age really.

They say that if you have MS, it's never great to have any infection, because it can cause a relapse. Especially if the infection is accompanied by a fever.

However, I've had so many colds and stomach bugs recently and I've not had any kind of relapse. Aside from increased fatigue, which they don't count as a relapse.

It's up to you. I'm 54, had Covid in late July and hell yeah am I having my booster.

properdoughnut · 29/09/2022 21:23

Up to you really.

Don't they say generally it's supposed to be milder if / when you get it again ?

Up to you I suppose. I know more people refusing this booster than having it though

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/09/2022 21:25

I had three jabs and still got Covid twice. The first time was pretty awful, the second I’d have been in work (and WFH throughout) if I hadn’t known what it was. I reacted horribly to the third jab and don’t think I will have four. (But no underlying health issues.)

Whichjab · 29/09/2022 21:25

I'm with you, was very keen to get my jabs but now... not sure.

ToryCunts · 29/09/2022 21:25

I'm not having it either

Avalovelace · 29/09/2022 21:27

Entirely personal choice. I've had all three jabs, felt really shit after all of them, plus had really horrible covid in Jan 2021. Considering not having no. 4 as felt so awful with the others. Am 52.

LivingMyBestLie · 29/09/2022 21:28

I'm a similar age. I won't be having any more, especially with the new information that's coming out about them (links to heart issues).

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 29/09/2022 21:28

I probably won’t.

clovid · 29/09/2022 21:28

I had such a bad headache after the third one. It was really scary. I also had antibody treatment when I actually had covid, just to cover all bases.

IncessantNameChanger · 29/09/2022 21:30

I'm not having my 4th jab either. Ended up in hospital with the first one and had covid twice and spread it once. But more than that I felt terrified with the last two.

UrsulaPandress · 29/09/2022 21:30

Had my 4th on Sunday and I’ve had to spend two days in bed. Felt hideous. Put me off having anymore.

user6497219 · 29/09/2022 21:30

I'm not getting it, last one gave me Shingles

jazzandh · 29/09/2022 21:31

I was speaking with a friend today who was due her booster (healthcare) and has just caught covid again. She feels worse than the first time (after 2 jabs) so it doesn't necessarily get better .........

KangarooKenny · 29/09/2022 21:32

I probably won’t have this one .

Summerishere123 · 29/09/2022 21:33

I didn't get the 3rd. The vaccine doesn't stop you getting it and I have had it twice and just been a bit out of sorts.
I'd d one a year but not 4.

bg21 · 29/09/2022 21:33

Nope ! The sooner we stop being sheep and just get on with life the better

x2boys · 29/09/2022 21:34

Do what you want 🤷‍♀️

FinallyHere · 29/09/2022 21:34

I've had the fourth: I was offered one too when I took DH to be vaccinated.

We were both asked whether we had had covid, can't remember what the timescale was. Sorry, but they may not given them to people who have had covid infection recently.
