To mow the lawn tomorrow?

I planned to do it today but it’s raining. I’m not going to do it during the funeral but would I be unreasonable to do it later in the day tomorrow?

Sounds like a daft question but I was wondering the same haha ours really needs doing. I’ll probably do it earlier in the morning.

Subeccoo · 18/09/2022 14:13

On what possible grounds would it be unreasonable to mow the grass tomorrow?

Jogonlogonpip · 18/09/2022 14:15

I would, if it needed it. I'll be going about my day as normal.

FourTeaFallOut · 18/09/2022 14:15

No, of course not. Just go about your day however you like.

HandbagsnGladrags · 18/09/2022 14:15

Bloody hell.

DangerNoodles · 18/09/2022 14:16

There will probably be a few posters who will say that we should do nothing but sob into our tea tomorrow but no YWNBU to mow your lawn.

I hope you are my neighbour, if I hear someone else doing thiers I will pop out and do mine, I'm not brave enough to be the first!

missbipolar · 18/09/2022 14:17

Of course it's fine.

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2022 14:18

Very unreasonable the Queen would not want you to mow your lawn. Grin You must stay inside with the curtains closed all day.

mountainsunsets · 18/09/2022 14:20

Why on earth wouldn't you?!

This site gets increasingly more bonkers every single day.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 18/09/2022 14:21

I think you should mow it but maybe not whilst the funeral is on. It would be pretty thoughtless to be making thst sort of noise outside during that.

Personally I'm no royalist, but I do understand other people's feelings/needs.

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/09/2022 14:25

Oh ffs is this what it’s coming to. Mow your lawn if you want! Of course it’s fine.

Testina · 18/09/2022 14:34

Bonkers.

Lcb123 · 18/09/2022 14:37

its fine - maybe just avoid the minutes silence

Ineedcoffee2021 · 18/09/2022 14:38

I cant believe its even a question
Mow whenever you want

Unicorn717 · 18/09/2022 14:39

It's your lawn, do what you want.

Georgeskitchen · 18/09/2022 14:40

I agree - if you think it’s going to annoy your neighbours, there’s no harm in thinking ahead and working around that time. I’ve raced to get all my noisy work done yesterday and today; as for a normal bank holiday I don’t want to be the neighbours that disturbs everyone’s peace.

I do have a lot of inside chores to do tomorrow so I’ll get those done throughout the day; some whilst watching the funeral and some not

Thesearmsofmine · 18/09/2022 14:42

Do what you want! Honestly people are going bonkers!

Theskyisfullofbirds · 18/09/2022 14:42

A neighbour asked last Saturday week if it would be disrespectful to mow the lawn. And some on a local FB group are kicking off because the bin men haven’t been given a full day off, though they can have time to watch the actual funeral. Concerns have been expressed to the council about noisy bin collections being disrespectful as we should all be silent throughout the day.

Theskyisfullofbirds · 18/09/2022 14:42

*a full day off tomorrow

I cut our lawn during Diana's funeral, it upset a couple of neighbours who bought into the St D story.

Herejustforthisone · 18/09/2022 14:44

This place is insane.

This!

amylou8 · 18/09/2022 14:48

I'd avoid the actual hour of the funeral. I think the country has gone mad (again), but it's just basic manners I guess.

HandbagsnGladrags · 18/09/2022 14:49

I might let the dog out to bark at squirrels at 11 tomorrow 😬
