To mow the lawn tomorrow?

I planned to do it today but it’s raining. I’m not going to do it during the funeral but would I be unreasonable to do it later in the day tomorrow?

This thread came into my mind when I was hanging out my washing and could hear gunshots - people out hunting duck. At the time of the funeral no less.

Someone in the street was peeping their car horn. No idea why.

Made me smile at the thought that some here would be having a fit at the thought.

Life goes on.

Just got to PILs and there is washing on the line. Better tell MIL she's being terribly disrespectful. Some of it is very bright colours.

I've found other things to do whole the actual service is on but will be doing it now and I got my kids in from the trampoline because the noise is quite intrusive and they can do something else for an hour or so. Not out of respect as such, but just neighbourliness - some of my neighbours are of the generation who will be glued to the coverage and I wouldn;t want to upset them over somrthing that can easily wait an hour.

It's fine. Honestly

How is there 9% on yabu! Wow.

Nope, I did not hear anyone mowing their lawn today, actually much quieter than usual, just as I predicted. I must live in a MN-free Zone.

Off you go then - start up your mowers and crack on - or maybe you don't fancy it so much now.

It is EVERYTHING to do with respect. You clearly have none for our queen who gave her whole life over to serving us while you can't even have a day set aside to honour her majesty. People like you make me sick.

Can you please explain in exactly what way this over privileged over indulged woman give her whole life over to 'serving' me and people like me?

We never met one another. My existence made no difference to her and her existence made no difference to me.

No I have no respect for her and her family. Why should I? As individuals they've done absolutely nothing to earn my respect and some of them are very unpleasant people.

They're not some sort of superior species that we should all be in awe of, they're human beings who just happened to be born into a particular family.

Cut your lawn OP.

I saw and heard a farmer out in a field with a very noisy combine harvester type of thing during the funeral. I just thought "Good for him" Literally making hay while the sun shines.

In case anyone’s interested, l mowed the lawn in the afternoon. My next door neighbour started banging the walls building their extension just as the funeral started and continued on till it ended.
Each to their own.
