Has anyone seen the recent tweet about her pawning/selling three diamond engagement rings? Aibu to think if you are pleading poverty and asking the general public to donate money one week and then showing off pictures of three massive diamonds you own the next, it's never going to go down well? Especially when you are already being challenged on lying and grifting?

For a long time I thought JM was nothing but a force of a good but I can't understand how she can be so tone deaf. It can't be deliberate but equally how can she not realise how it looks to produce three huge rings just a week after claiming she's so skint she needs handouts.

Apologies if there's already a thread on this.

Well, it's an interesting set up where she is apparently locked into a rental contract that goes on till next year, couldn't be ended but the landlord will let her move in a lodger. Said lodger doesn't seem to have made the financial situation any better, and also doesn't mind living in a place where the hot water is turned off and there are solar lanterns in place of lightbulbs.

It's vey mysterious.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 29/08/2022 18:02

I could not for the life of me work out how anyone would feed even 2 people for a week on the food posted in the picture (with all the Asda labels prominently shown - alongside the “Hey Asda, I have a complaint because I could buy too much in your store!!!” post, is she aiming for a paid sponsorship or something?). I’m an experienced cook, I meal plan to within an inch of my life because a) I used to have to and b) I now like the challenge and to make sure nothing goes to waste, and there’s just so little there with which to make a meal.

And then I saw the post above with the stock take. Yeah, I could easily make meals for 2, 3 or many more if I’ve got cupboards/freezers already stuffed to bursting with everything from meat and fish to dried pulses and pasta and all the tinned/frozen stuff in between. A little disingenuous, no? Hmm

category12 · 29/08/2022 18:04

Asda are quietly saving lives, doncha know.

Where's the information about the lodger come from? She tweeted recently that she's not allowed to have a lodger and her landlord lives opposite so would know if she breached the terms of the lease.

There's tweets about a housemate who 'doesn't eat with us all the time' and some replies when people queried the nutrition of a fish pie last week where she said he manages fine on it with snacks.

Then there's the tweets about the OH who took her on holiday and split up with her in the summer.

And the tweets about the 'new beau' she posted about shagging at stupid o'clock this morning, who had to go home 'reluctantly' as he is a shift worker.

Three men in the house over the last six months. Wouldn't matter if it were three women or three agender/non binary people, either - it sounds very disorientating for a child when combined with the previous year's drink and drug abuse (where she went into rehab as per an article interview published in Diva) absence and the period where she would have been abusing said drink and drugs.

The child's life sounds horribly insecure and chaotic even if only a quarter of it is true.

WhereAreMyAirpods · 29/08/2022 18:29

If the Asda PR team have any nouse at all, they won't touch her with a bargepole, however hard she's pushing for a "face of Asda" job.

JubileeTrifle · 29/08/2022 18:56

Asda don’t pay their staff properly do they? She doesn’t seem to take into account that cheap food is paid for somewhere down the line by actual people. It’s a massively complex issue.

Honestly if an adult came on here and said they were spending £20 a week (I know this a top up shop but she has said before she does plenty of times) on food for 2 adults and a teenager she would be pointed towards extra help. Food banks or community shops or food apps or local food initiatives. It’s not enough food, no one should be aiming to spend that little on its own.

category12 · 29/08/2022 19:11

I'm pretty sure she doubled down and said that her special ninja kitchen skills mean that although that shop was filling the gaps (not a top-up shop 🙄) and she does use stock she already has at home, it does all work out at £20 a week anyway, because she won't use everything she got this time in one week and so it rolls on.

PugWhiskers · 29/08/2022 19:16

Someone asked her before on a previous post of a performative £20 shop how much she would need to spend if she had literally nothing in.

The answer was '£20 still x'

Ay of course she would. 🙄

I honestly have no idea why people are so supportive of her when she makes such ridiculous comments.

Thesearmsofmine · 29/08/2022 19:42

This is what gets me, she did say that she always spends this magical £20 and that one week a month she has enough meals from these £20 weekly shops that she doesn’t need to buy much at all and just tops up and in that week she spends £10 on loo roll, cleaning stuff etc.
in reality it’s just not feasible to do this long term and it’s actually really damaging to perpetuate the myth that you can healthily feed a family on £20 a week. It’s the kind of thing tories like Lee Anderson love to say, and she is just giving them fuel to say if she can do it why can’t all the other people living in poverty.

I probably just spend a tenner a week on milk and yoghurt.

category12 · 29/08/2022 20:00

She's had a right go at a Twatter person, whose bio says they are a carehome resident who has learning and physical disabilities. 😲

He was actually supporting her but she got the wrong end of the stick and swore at him most robustly and told him to go outside & touch grass.

She done fucked up there.

Mumberjack · 29/08/2022 20:13

I’ve tried to steer clear of the more personal aspects of Jacks actions but as it is likely the tweet will be deleted (and Jack will block the person in residential care with no apology) I have had to add this.

Gosh that's disgusting. 😲

I'd like to think she'll apologise, but judging from her past behaviour it's unlikely. She thinks she's untouchable and can do no wrong, so no doubt she'll go on a mass tweeting / retweeting spree to cover up her shitty comment.

That's astonishing. She is the first person, always, to bring out the 'be kind' card, to highlight her alleged disabilitites when it suits (for a while she had a wheelchair emoji in her bio) - is this the reply she posted to the person with learning disabilities? Shocking.

All this from a 'professional' work account.

Motorcycleemptyness · 29/08/2022 20:39

The message telling that person to go and ‘touch grass’ would be an appalling attack on anyone, but the information in that person’s bio makes it a thousand times worse.

JM rants and raves about how Jamie Oliver is stealing their niche and how they should have the budget cookery show but in the last 24 hours JM has tweeted about a 6 hour shagging session and told a disabled person who lives in a residential care home to go and fuck themselves. Jamie has tweeted a recipe for chicken and mushroom puff pie. Can’t think why C4 prefer him. Must be their institutional bias at play!

fiftiesmum · 29/08/2022 20:41

So jack has an iPhone - aren't they expensive

category12 · 29/08/2022 20:41

Yes, it's brutal, and lots of her followers have liked it and a few told him to fuck off as well. 😧

EarringsandLipstick · 29/08/2022 21:17

The amount of tweets she's deleting in the past few days is incredible, even for her.

As she limits who can reply to her posts, the easiest way to see some of the non-cheerleading tweets is to look at 'Tweets & Replies'. It's nearly impossible to read tho, as she's deleted the tweets in question so you only see the replies from the other people.

She's really dishonest on this alone. She deletes so many tweets, she can control the narrative. Ofc quick-thinking posters screenshot what they can.

145 people have 'liked' her tweet. What was it Trump said? “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters." Something of the same vibe about this.

Baoing · 29/08/2022 22:36

That Trump quote. It's bloody true, as well.

I've never followed her Twitter, or anything really. This is all pretty shocking. My perception of her has changed completely.
