To think MILF is not a fucking compliment?

I went out out the other weekend to a very ‘young’ bar locally. I got very sweetly chatted up by a fetching young man of 22 (I’m 42 and very happily married).

It all went a bit sour when he said I’m a ‘right MILF’ and was put out when I turned on my heel and walked off.

This is not a compliment, right? I was very much enjoying the confidence boost of a strapping young lad showing interest and then he completely fucking ruined it 🤣

I got called a MILF when I was 27!!!!

I assumed it was my glasses that aged me but I was not impressed!!

Telling someone that you'd like to fuck them is not a compliment. It doesn't make us feel grateful.

Hope this clears things up for some of the PPs.

This. Most blokes will shag a crack in the pavement so certainly not a compliment

Woman goes to very ‘young’ bar - is shocked when immature youth use crude terms

Let's hope she educated him as to how to speak to a woman with respect 🙄

Thatsenoughnow · 31/07/2022 17:50

If he had been an overweight unattractive man in his 60s you wouldn't have been flattered by him paying you attention. So you were judging him on his attractiveness, and he was judging you on yours. Can't see the problem.

Cam22 · 31/07/2022 17:51

It’s the sort of thing young men might say to other young men. It’s a bit unpleasant that he said it to you. Ugh.

InTheShadeOfTheFigTree · 31/07/2022 17:57

Sexual objectification is at its least accepted ever in the history of humanity

97% of 18 - 24 year old women have been sexually harassed in the UK. Those are 2021 figures.

Georgeskitchen · 31/07/2022 17:57

Just be grateful he didn't call you a GILF 🤣

lollipoprainbow · 31/07/2022 18:00

I'd be delighted !!

Cam22 · 31/07/2022 18:08

How sad.

NeelyOHara1 · 31/07/2022 18:21

All the women who say they'd be flattered, do you/did you also "love a bad boy"? Not having a pop, it's just something that I've never felt and questioned my womaninity (so to speak) a bit over 😊

DangerouslyBored · 31/07/2022 19:07

Ugh. I get told I’m a MILF a lot. It’s gross. Not remotely complimentary. It’s hardly a respectful comment, like being told you’re beautiful or something 🙄 it’s a v demeaning phrase.

lollipoprainbow · 31/07/2022 19:19

@DangerouslyBored god how awful to be told you're beautiful Hmm

@DangerouslyBored god how awful to be told you're beautiful Hmm

You think MILF is the equivalent of saying beautiful? That’s funny.

lollipoprainbow · 01/08/2022 02:56

@LoveInNashville where did I say that ??

YerAWizardHarry · 01/08/2022 03:00

Doesn’t mean you’re old? I became a mum at 19 and have bad guys refer to me as a MILF for a lot over the years (not even 30 yet). It’s not particularly “nice” but I disagree that it means you’re old.

VioletToes · 01/08/2022 03:06

He thought you were an easy 'target'?

Older woman, in a young bar... clearly you were looking for sex and he thought he wouldn't have to graft too hard 👀

Agree MILF isn't great, but you probably should have turned on your heel and walked off after the first time you told him you were happily married and not interested. Your vanity got the better of you and you stayed for me 😂

Ageism, objectification misogyny but half of the responses are fine with that.
You were objectified him by age and looks as well.
Maybe it's time a lot of people stopped being ruled by their sex drives alone.

Considered objectively, it’s a disgusting term.

But, I shamefully admit that I was slightly.flattered when DD (17) told me that friends consider me a MILF…although someone else’s Mum is considered the top MILF. She’s a former model so fair enough.

I didn’t tell DD that I was flattered, I said it was a nasty term, but I think it’s widely used among today’s teens.

Ohhhhladz · 01/08/2022 04:40

Ha, I wouldn't even have thought of the "calling you old" aspect; you had me at the "expressing a desire to use you like an object without regard for your feelings" bit. But I think many immature men of all ages like to bring up sex in weird, inappropriate ways and much too early in a discussion. He's probs over on r/incels or r/MGTOW right now moaning about how he doesn't understand why he never pulls.

I would disagree with the ‘mum’s in their 20’s’ thing. MILFs is usually a thing used to reduce older women to sexual stereotypes, the non-childbearing version is the equally vomit-inducing ‘cougar’. The odd 20, something woman/mum may be described in that way (and yes, it’s still gross) but it is the exception rather than the rule.
Plus it’s the implication that comes with it of “obviously mums are disgustingly unsexy but I’d make the exception for you”. Yeah, jog on.

Isn't a cougar a woman who likes younger men? Nothing to do with having children or not.

And being a MILF has nothing to do with age. My friend used to call me a milf and he was older than me. Not saying the phrase is OK, but it doesn't have anything to do with age.

Dita73 · 01/08/2022 05:00

I’d be quite chuffed to be honest. It’s when it turns to GILF,that’s the time to be offended

ImustLearn2Cook · 01/08/2022 05:02

Mum I’d like to fuck is a massive turn-off. And the acronym doesn’t make it less so. If I had a hard on and someone said that to me I’d go flaccid immediately.

I’ve heard some terrible pick up lines and this is up with the worst of them. Total turn-off.

I love being a mum but it doesn’t turn me on sexually, so don’t bring it up while flirting with me.
