No not that one. Carrie when they were having an affair and he was foreign secretary. Wanted to appoint her yo £100k job she wasn't qualified for and without declaring an interest. Story was in The Tumes but has disappeared. Super injunction??

I just find it such a double standard. If Teresa May had done any of the scandals he'd been involved with there'd have been crowds baying for her head.

But old boy BoJo... they just accept it's Pat for the course. Affairs, love children, lies, divorcing his wife when she had cancer, pandemic parties....

CounsellorTroi · 19/06/2022 14:58

People who think that Keir Starmer is too boring to be PM get exactly what they deserve in Johnson.

SpinningRoundRightRound · 19/06/2022 14:59

I imagine that Jennifer Arcuri is very, very glad indeed that Boris Johnson is not the father of her child.

Notonthestairs · 19/06/2022 15:02

"I just find it such a double standard. If Teresa May had done any of the scandals he'd been involved with there'd have been crowds baying for her head."

She was photographed wearing leather trousers in the John Lewis flat once and the media lost their heads.

I wasn't a fan of May but I don't think she was corrupt.

Why do Boris supporters always come back with "well labour do xyz" when it doesn't change what a specific Tory has done? It's a strange style of debate.

It's called whataboutery. Basically means they don't have anything to say in defence of the person they'd like to be able to stick up for so they want to try and focus elsewhere instead.

Classic behaviour. It's all they've got. Because how can you defend some or any of what notonthstairs listed

You can't without looking a fool.
So whataboutery has to do

midsomermurderess · 19/06/2022 15:03

Ou don’t need to point it it, it’s everywhere along with the rather sinister fact that the story now seems to be being suppressed.

Whitehorsegirl · 19/06/2022 15:06

This absolutely stinks...

Bad enough that he would think of getting his mistress a plum job this but worse that the story has been pulled out (although it is all over twitter regardless!).

If he tried to use taxpayer money to give her a public office job i I don't get how this could be protected by a ''super injunction''.

Abuse of public funds/public office should not be hidden from the public...

I think the media should ignore any injuction and if they have proof they should publish this and counter-sue if any action is brought in against them by stating that this is in the public interest to be aware of this story.

The man is a disgrace and scandal after scandal will keep emerging until he is finally kicked out.

jossysgiant · 19/06/2022 12:02

So was he with Carrie, Jennifer and his wife? 🤮 my guess would be super injunction. Just when you think he couldn't get any worse....

And the alleged Russian violinist, don’t forget that one!

Carrie knows which side her bread is buttered. She puts up with the constant shagging around, and in return she benefits from his financial corruption and party donor “gifts”. “Carrie Antoinette” is a very apt nickname.

Roussette · 19/06/2022 15:12

The offer of a job to Carrie was all whilst she was his bit on the side and his wife had just started tests for cancer

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/06/2022 15:18

I suggest that people download copies of the photo in case the thread is pulled. It would be a shame if that resulted in multiple threads about being silenced.

Snugglepumpkin · 19/06/2022 15:19

It makes me so sad that even with all this, he is still a better alternative than a party who deny the existence of half of the human race as a distinct biological category with rights of their own.

It says a lot about the state of our politicians when the bar is that low & they still can't reach it.

carefullycourageous · 19/06/2022 15:20

roarfeckingroarr · 19/06/2022 12:42

I don't like the man but there's no viable alternative to vote for, so I'll vote for him again next time

This argument is absolute bollocks. Johnson is dreadful. I couldn't bring myself to vote for Corbyn but I'm no longer sure even HE could have been worse. Starmer would certainly be better, because he is a) hard working and b) ethically on the same planet as the average voter.

balalake · 19/06/2022 15:32

@Whitehorsegirl an MP can raise it in the House of Commons and not be sued. So please Ian Blackford or Keir Starmer, raise the issue on Wednesday.

Ryan Giggs was named in the House over trying to suppress his relationship with Imogen Thomas, despite an injunction.

Well your vote is yours to cast but if we’re talking about what makes us sad I’m pretty dismayed that critical thinking and perspective skills are so low that people seem to think we have the luxury of voting on the basis of one policy, a policy that exists only in minds and that hasn’t had any pledges made on any side.

Boris figureheads a cabinet that would sell women’s rights in a heart beat. They’ve got the child of immigrants breaking laws and committing crimes against asylum seekers just to satisfy the blood lust of their core electorate and donors.

Dededot · 19/06/2022 15:38

To the Tories on this thread saying they'll still vote for him... Aren't you ashamed of how this man has tarnished your party and made the UK a global laughing stock?

Sort out your house. Don't allow the Tories to have such a scumbag as a leader! Don't vote for him. That's how you'll get a better leader.

Starmer is practically a tory anyway, so sadly it's us lefties who have little political choice.

Do you think BJ has moral fibre then? Any ?

Fancy voting for someone who has behaved like he has surrounded by under qualified Ministers who enable him

Kendodd · 19/06/2022 15:45

I think him doing tricks for Russian money is worse.

Kendodd · 19/06/2022 15:46

But people voted for him. They can own the corruption.

No, though we do have her to thank for Johnson being Foreign Secretary which led to his current position, so…..

aprofoundhistoricalnovalty · 19/06/2022 15:47

I'm shocked 😳 that our honourable prime minister is being accused like this.
Shocked I tell you!
Surely no one in the Conservative party would accept it?
Oh, wait....

He's the most unethical man imaginable, based purely on his private life.

How anyone voted for him, I can't imagine.

It's not hard to understand at all. All you have to do is look at the alternative.

liliainterfrutices · 19/06/2022 15:48

I have less than no patience for those who claim to hate what Johnson stands for and who are going to vote for him anyway because Starmer didn't say that women have vaginas.
If you really think that the rights of women are protected under this shower then you haven't been looking at crime statistics, at the reaction of Patel to the Sarah Everard vigil, at the numbers of women driven into poverty, at the numbers of women waiting for NHS treatment etc etc

Notonthestairs · 19/06/2022 15:50

If nothing else we should be wondering about what other stories are pulled from the media because of political ideology.

Nobody has more sway in this country than newspaper owners.

90% of print media is owner by 3 companies (or their subsidiaries).
