Special Father's Day sex

I think I've just offended DH. He asked if he was going to be getting "Father's Day sex" after DS has gone to bed. I thought he was joking, when I realised he wasn't I must have pulled a face.

I understand people talk about birthday sex, valentine's day sex etc but father's day is a day for children to celebrate and appreciate their dads. It's given me the ick but he has no idea what I'm talking about, so I was just interested to see what others think?

To be clear, I'm not adverse to having sex on father's day, just the thought of doing it specially to celebrate it!

The phrasing is icky. Connotations with “Daddy role play” which certainly is not for me.

However if it wasn’t phrased that way or loaded with expectations, there’s nothing wrong with a little nooky at the end of a nice day!

You do realise that in some families there is humour, I sometimes feel very sorry for families mentioned on MN who seem to live in cold, humourless environements.

Yes it’s the manipulation/guilt tripping that gives me the ick - like well it’s my birthday/Father’s Day so you should give me what I want type thing. Then make them feel guilty for saying no.

If someone wants sex, oral, anal etc then ask for it - but don’t use an occasion as an excuse.
