They’ve been digging up the road out the front for 2 days. Every time someone moves the dogs bark. I’m trying to work. (dogs barking through Teams meetings). DD is working nights so can’t sleep (Digging and barking).
but it’s hot and I’m eating one so feel a bit guilty. Would it be weird to offer them one?

I'd totally do it! We had workmen digging on our road this morning and I was already looking for ice lollies or cans of coke to offer, but by the time I had found our lollies they had moved on. 😂

Just do it. Have a conversation. You might find out more about how long job will take so you can manage your expectations.
Would dogs bark less if you closed the curtains? The stimulus sets them off? Remove the stimulus and see if it helps.

its a very large bit of digging and they’ve not finished our bit so they’ll be back I’m sure. I’ll offer them.

I just gave the guy who mows the green in the middle of our road a really cold can of Coke, he was delighted and gave me the biggest thank you. So I say go for it!

Our builders just asked if tomorrow they could bring some ice pops and put them in the freezer. I told them we have loads and to go help themselves! They were well chuffed!

Not in the UK, but I used to send the kids out with cold cartons of juice when people were working outside our house. They were always very grateful. Go for it.

I just gave the guy who reads our electricity a bottle of iced water. He was so grateful. My DD has football training tonight and I will bring the whole team some cheap ice lollies when they are finished.

It's weird you have to ask the internet.
It's a perfectly normal thing to do on a hot day- I mean offer something cool and refreshing.
I remember my mum taking ice pops out the brickies who were building a wall around 1974/75. Nothing odd.🤷‍♀️

Definitely do it and some very cold water too. Somebody once brought me an ice lolly when I was cutting a massive hedge on my own. Never been more grateful!
