YANBU. Johnson and his government are a disgrace. People are unable to afford basics like food, shelter and energy bills, while the PM parties and treats us with contempt.

Mum2jenny · 08/06/2022 19:13

I’d sooner have Boris in charge than Jeremy Cunt. He was a fucking disgrace when he was running the NHS. I do not think any person in the NHS could vote for this twat!

WaitroseWoman · 08/06/2022 19:17

How could I forget Mumsnetgate?

Can I add Carehomegate? All those people discharged into them without testing - God knows how many deaths that caused.

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 08/06/2022 19:37

But apart from all that, he's doing just fine!

I'm not sure that Jeremy Corbyn is in the top 10 of potential replacements of Boris at the moment @JustAnotherPoster00 Wink

If the tories really want everyone to get behind Johnson they should issue an ultimatum, back Boris or we'll vote him out and elect Dories as party leader.

ilovesooty · 08/06/2022 19:45

Whatever I thought of Theresa May's policies over the years all that would never have happened if she'd still been PM. Whatever her faults she wasn't a self serving, lying sociopath.

Anyone who supports Johnson, be it MP, Mumsnet poster or member of the public is in my opinion totally lacking in morality, decency and integrity.

Dorries is perhaps a little busy at the moment declaring war on Ukraine and on Jeremy Hunt?

I always thought he talked a load of shit throughout the pandemic, went on national TV and couldn't string two words together, but reading the transcript of the interview with Justine, is absolute torture!! How can the man in charge of our country, talk such absolute rubbish and get away with it? It's beyond me. Maybe the morons who voted for him did it just to get him to shut the fuck up??

WaitroseWoman · 08/06/2022 19:55

Sincere apologies everyone. I should have added a Trigger Warning to this link in the OP above as JRM features heavily:

I'm not convinced that Dorries isn't an undercover agent for rhe opposition, every time she opens her mouth she makes it all such worse.

Saw this circulating on Twitter today, it made me laugh.

AlternativePerspective · 08/06/2022 20:09

is it just me who is irritated by the fact that people have to add “gate” after every bloody scenario?

That aside, no you’re not unreasonable, they’re a disgrace. But the reality is that labour need to now let the whole party fiasco go and start talking about what they are going to do to make themselves electable in the next election.

Because there is a very good chance that Johnson is going to start doing things which will bring mp’s and the electorate back to the Tory side. And if labour don’t start talking about what they are going to do rather than going on about parties when BJ is potentialy cutting taxes etc the tories will get in at the next election.

As for the mn interview, IMO it was pathetic on both sides.

Johnson was a bumbling idiot, but I wasn’t at all impressed with the way the interview happened. There was a chance to ask some real and important questions about spending, cost of living, employment, at a time when many mn users are struggling financially, but instead she focused on wanting to know when he had lied and what his favourite bedtime story was and what his favourite biscuit is. Seriously it was a load of misogynist shite and Justine made MN users look like pathetic little women who were incapable of having a decent discussion. It was up there with the message which goes on about pouring a strong cuppa when their less than inadequate server goes down. Patronising in the extreme.

Boris Johnson misled the public about the severity of his Covid-19 condition.

Sorry for the irritation @AlternativePerspective - it was just shorthand to save time, space and me climbing the rickety library steps up to the dusty old Thesaurus for the very many alternate words I'd need to fiasco, scandal, crisis, balls up etc.

Especially as he isn't a Tory!

I laugh every time someone counteracts but Corbyn or even but Starmer.

Tory's are in power until at least 2024.

They should be focussing on the fact they have 360+ Tory MPs and 211 think Johnson is the best they an offer.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 08/06/2022 20:21

Im by no means a Boris fan and i certainly wont be Voting conservative but unless they call a general election i cant see the point of changing Boris for any of the other self serving twats that are lining up to take his place in the Conservative Party they are literally all as bad as each other and some of them (Jeremy hunt) are worse than Boris in my opinion so no i dont think its unreasonable that the majority voted to keep Boris what i think is unreasonable is that no one is calling for a General election to get rid of the entire bunch of lying, self serving, useless twats!
