Starting a new thread as last one wasn't accepting new posts.. Years ago I was a young dancer and background singer .. Very shy starting out on the job I loved (age 16 ) Jim Davison was on the Sunderland Empire about 2002 ish.. He was awful.. Moody! Shouty! Miserable, Rude.😭 I danced and sang in a lot of shows afterwards, and the much bigger stars were absolutely lovely.. But he is the one I remember most.. Awful man!.. I have worked with the Nolan Sisters and they all were so lovely.. I really understand how Linda (she was so kind and lovely to me, as were all of the sisters) did not like Jim Davison when she was in Big Brother (that was not the man he acted like on that show) Out of all the 50+ lovely celebrities I worked with over 15 years(some quite famous stars) , this is the one I remember most as the most horrible one.

Can't be bothered to go through everyone because there's a fair few. Most are OK.

But my ABSOLUTE FAVE was Chris Kamara. He made my year. Such a lovely man.

TarpaulinEyes · 08/06/2022 20:41

I was staying in a hotel some years back and at dinner Samantha Womack (Ronnie from Eastenders) was sat at the next table with friends. The waiter came to take their order, she turned to me and said sorry for intruding but what was I eating because it looked delicious. I told her and was thanked, she promptly ordered the same. Incredibly polite, apologised for disturbing me and also rather beautiful.

antwacky · 08/06/2022 20:43

@Laquila and @ChrisReasBathEggs always found Craig Charles to be an utter gobshite. He lived around the corner from us when we were kids and he was nob then and unfortunately he didn't grow out of it.

Purringcat3 · 08/06/2022 20:44

Jess Glynne

All the negative stuff you read about her - there’s no doubt about it, it’s true.

PlattyJubes · 08/06/2022 20:44

@Jellykat I can also vouch for Rik Mayall being a lovely chap. Back in the 90s I worked as a secretary for a Harley Street doctor who had many celebrity patients. Rik was a regular and one of the only ones who addressed me by my name and also always took the trouble to stop and pass the time of day rather than ignoring me (as some others did). I didn't judge the others (well I tried not to) as they were in a vulnerable position but I always had a soft spot for Rik and was so sad to hear that he had died.

SpangleSparkle · 08/06/2022 20:45

Ant - found him rude however may have been an off day reading previous comments about him
Dec - lovely
Shane Richie - comes across as arrogant, I never spoken or approached him but heard him talking to others, he lives in the area so seen him quote a bit
Theresa May - Really friendly, was disappointed when she left

Zoe Ball's dad Johnny is a bit of a wrong'un......

www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/johnny-ball-denies-climate-change-17795040

For the love of God, her Dad too? Was just looking at him on the bus during the jubilee pageant and thinking, he's so nice, no wonder Zoe is so lovely. I obviously can't trust myself anymore 🙄

Zoooooom · 08/06/2022 08:58

About 20 years ago when I was 10, my friend and I saw the actress who plays Eileen from Corrie at the airport. She wasn't rude as such, we probably just looked at her in awe for too long as she sort of looked at us and did a hand gesture to say 'Wtf are you looking at?"

I worked in Debenhams in Manchester for abit when I was at college. I can confirm she is the rudest bitch going.

Same - I loved Johnny ball as a kid.
Think of a number…

What do people say about her?

DotBall · 08/06/2022 21:06

A-Ha - PÃ¥l was rude and pushy being served at my bar but the others were polite and kind.
Anneka Rice - her partner was in (private) hospital so she was visiting, and was considerate and friendly to the catering staff.
Esther Rantzen - friend worked in sound at the BBC and said she was the grumpiest, rudest person he ever had to mic up.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 08/06/2022 21:09

Draws attention to herself at the expense of others.

Ever since I watched in horror as she recounted her anecdote on Graham Norton's show about the time when she encountered a tramp 'pleasuring' himself in a park/woods and she offered to finish him off - and went on to do so - I've always thought that there's something seriously off about her.

Why you would even do it in the first place, much less tell the whole world; and if it was made up, what must be going on in your head to even concoct something like that?

It takes a lot to shock and stun Graham, but she left him looking so nervous about what he could possibly say next.

orangetriangle · 08/06/2022 21:15

Bernie Winters awful very rude
Snorbiitz lovely !!!

minutesturntohours · 08/06/2022 21:16

Laquila · 08/06/2022 20:27

I've heard the same about Craig Charles I'm afraid, @ChrisReasBathEggs - he played a tiny festival local to us several years ago and was an all-round knob, v disappointing.

noooooooooooooooooo

Basilbrushgotfat · 08/06/2022 21:21

@MrsE shame about the migraine and laundry but still...

Oh my fans self

Mamai90 · 08/06/2022 21:22

Anna Friel - another one who is super nice to anyone she thinks can help her career - treats runners etc like shit.

I met her in the 90s when she was dating Robbie Williams. I was friends with her cousins and she was really lovely. I know her uncle too. This was obviously 20 odd years ago, but she comes from a very down to earth family so I would have thought they'd have kept her grounded. Maybe not.

honeyrider · 08/06/2022 21:23

Michael Owen, rude, rude rude and I had this confirmed by a friend who had to deal with him daily at his kids school and in complete contrast to Neville Southall who was lovely and played with the kids.

Well the apple didn't fall far from the tree seeing how Gemma is on Love Island.

AIPS · 08/06/2022 21:23

Calmerpolice · 08/06/2022 19:15

Worst:
Mark Williams (Father Brown, Arthur Weasley, Fast show) - miserable and rude.
Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf) - Arrogant and moody
Kenny Baker (Star Wars)
Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell)

Nicest:
Jimmy Carr
Gary Delaney
Michael Owen
Sarah Millican
Dave Gorman was an absolute sweetheart

Gary Delaney and Sarah Millican are married to each other aren’t they? He especially seemed nice on Richard Osman’s House of Games.

flowersinthewind · 08/06/2022 21:29

I met Tiff Needell(fifth Gear) he is lovely, I also met Jim Davidson at the hotel I worked in at the time he was very happy and polite, Norman wisdom was very friendly and happy to sign video covers for 18 yr old me. Freddie Starr was ok friendly, but 16 year old me made a quick exit as not keen on him,

Can concur with Mark Williams. I met him in the Zap Club in Brighton in around 1997 and he was so fecking rude.

Hellocatshome · 08/06/2022 21:34

Brian May is lovely.

Basilbrushgotfat · 08/06/2022 21:36

Shame about Mark Williams. Never been a huge fan of him as an actor (and thought poor choice for Mr Weasley) but assumed he must be really likeable to get so much work.

Dragonsmother · 08/06/2022 21:36

I am sure this person is probably very nice and this may have been uncomfortable for them… but many years ago my grandfather passed away. I was just boarding the train to my parents when I found out. I was hysterical. The guard sat me at a table.

A famous designer was sat at the same table as me but opposite me. Not once did he look up and ask if I was ok. The whole 2 hours I cried. He read his paper and ignored me!!
