Starting a new thread as last one wasn't accepting new posts.. Years ago I was a young dancer and background singer .. Very shy starting out on the job I loved (age 16 ) Jim Davison was on the Sunderland Empire about 2002 ish.. He was awful.. Moody! Shouty! Miserable, Rude.😭 I danced and sang in a lot of shows afterwards, and the much bigger stars were absolutely lovely.. But he is the one I remember most.. Awful man!.. I have worked with the Nolan Sisters and they all were so lovely.. I really understand how Linda (she was so kind and lovely to me, as were all of the sisters) did not like Jim Davison when she was in Big Brother (that was not the man he acted like on that show) Out of all the 50+ lovely celebrities I worked with over 15 years(some quite famous stars) , this is the one I remember most as the most horrible one.

Another one - I was at an after party given by Lauryn Hill and we saw a few stars, mostly Natalie Imbruglia (tiny and can't dance!) and Mark Owen - who was nice enough but then proceeded to get off with someone there who was overweight and not that attractive (not being bitchy just honest) - it was at a school.

Why does it matter if he choses to get off with someone you don't find attractive?

A family member served on HMS Edinburgh with him. Doesn't have one good word to say about Andrew, despite seeing him every day for 3 months.

Princess Anne, however, seems pretty good. My exes' job brought him into contact with her fairly regularly, and I've met her twice through work. She is sharp, droll, and very engaged/well briefed. I do like her.

I met Princess Anne once through my job. I'm no royalist, but you could not help being impressed. Very down-to-earth, seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing and actually a good laugh.

Starbeach · 08/06/2022 16:28

oh and Dave Coaches (gavin and stacey) top bloke.

and then theres Charlotte 'dont you know who I am?' Church and her mother who also thinks she is some sort of entitled celeb.

Toadie out of neighbours was a right prick, Dr Karl though was a surprisingly good laugh.

Wesley Snipes was a top man made the effort to have photos done and absolutely loved spending time with people.

oh and one bloke out of Blink 182 sat next to me in the airport and we were chatting for a while, probably only talking to me as he realised I had absolutely no idea who he was until I noticed a load of people when I got off saying oh thats so and so from Blink 182 😂

This is nice to hear, I've always had a soft spot for Dr Karl :)

DameHelena · 08/06/2022 16:31

That's so good to hear. How classy she sounds.

WeeM · 08/06/2022 16:33

Michelle Mone in her underwear days-just rude and demanding as if she was above everyone else. Still can’t bear her to this day.

Georgeskitchen · 08/06/2022 16:33

CounsellorTroi · 08/06/2022 16:15

There is no evidence he was personally involved in the Saville decision. Boris Johnson made that up.

Unfortunately as the DDP the buck stops with him, as he has gleefully pointed out to BoJo on many occasions .Sauce for the goose!!

SabrePrattler · 08/06/2022 16:34

Mark Owen - who was nice enough but then proceeded to get off with someone there who was overweight and not that attractive (not being bitchy just honest)

Were you angling for a snog and fumin' he fancied someone you thought beneath you looks wise?

DameHelena · 08/06/2022 16:34

Oh, I meant that in response to Cherie Blair and the kids with learning disabilities Confused I'm having a shit day with technology today Grin

I come into contact with lots of celebrities with my line of work, and the one who always stuck in my head as the nicest was Moira Stewart! I was an assistant at an awards ceremony and I was to hand her the award, and we stood and had a right natter for about ten minutes. Lovely woman.

Also - Peter Doherty always stood out as such a gentle kind soul when I met him several times around 20 years ago. Very sweet and caring. I do hope he manages to overcome his demons.

I'd agree re Peter Doherty - I've seen him do some incredibly kind things over the years

Screenburn · 08/06/2022 16:42

Hugh Grant is genuinely lovely. Very kind and considerate to people around him, especially women with kids and disabled people.

AJ Odudu is very friendly and warm.

Rylan is also great and puts you at ease immediately!

Victoria Derbyshire however is a real piece of work. Genuinely nasty, cruel and condescending.

Tutchytutchyfeelyfeely · 08/06/2022 16:43

Oh! Just remembered Sheila Ferguson from the 3 degrees.. Beautiful lady (beautiful skin and hair is what I remembered looking at her.. Funny the things you remember😍) with a lovely laugh! I showed her the way to the lady's loo! Also smell lovely! .. The reason so many celebrities smell lovely (for the lady who asked) is the perfume and aftershave they wear is so expensive that I have never smelt it before 😁

I’ve met Rylan a few times through work and he was always lovely so I’m surprised to see him on this list!

Grrrpredictivetex · 08/06/2022 16:46

Met quite a few celebs
Lulu is vile , as was Gemma Collins.
Lorraine Kelly was extremely rude to a friend of mine she was working with her.
Zoe Ball have met on quite a few occasions and she's lovely.
Meera Syal and Sanjeev Bhaskar are really lovely and very down to earth.
Gloria Hunniford is truly a beautiful lady.
Darren Gough up himself, and Gregg Wallace a letch and rude man.

ArmWrestlingWithChasNDave · 08/06/2022 16:47

Have all adjectives besides "lovely" been banned from MN?

Victoria was our neighbour for a while and she was always super lovely. I guess people can come across totally differently

CounsellorTroi · 08/06/2022 16:49

Someone mentioned Jimmy Tarbuck upthread. I would be disappointed if Lisa Tarbuck was horrible as she comes across really nice.

UrbanCoyote · 08/06/2022 16:52

Audley Harrison boxer was said to be quite unpleasant. But then my friend, who met him at a charity event was a little tipsy and went to do the whole pretend to punch him the stomach, oh you didn't see that coming did you routine.

NigelWithTheBrie79 · 08/06/2022 16:52

I was an extra on a film called SoulBoy which starred Martin Compston as the lead (he was lovely). Alfie Allen had a part and kept tripping over his lines. Each time we would have to restart. No one minded but he must have been feeling stressed out because while we were talking to each other while waiting he screamed at us to shut the fuck up. When the set went quiet and everyone turned to look at him he complained that he wanted to get the scene done as he had a train to catch. Prick.

DiscoBadgers · 08/06/2022 16:53

Celebrities who are LOVELY on the other hand -
Prince Charles. Once helped me catch my dog when she escaped. He was deeply amused by the whole thing, and very friendly!

Eddie Redmayne

Yolanda Brown

Tilltheend99 · 08/06/2022 16:58

I’ve said this before in a similar thread but Alison Hammond was a dick to me when I sold her some ice cream. Maybe she was having a bad day 🤷‍♀️

I met Nick Love when he had a special screening for The Firm for who I can only assume were extras because they all looked and acted (how they treated the staff) like football hooligans.

He came into the projection booth and insisted I turn the sound up as high as it would go (believe it or not, there are actually rules about what level the sound needs to be at for h&s etc) He basically looked down his nose at me but oh well.

TheSeldomSeenKid · 08/06/2022 16:58

Prince William is great, very down to earth and got stuck in (used to work with him).
Prince Andrew was a prick and everyone in the mess hated him.

Bunnyfuller · 08/06/2022 17:04

Jim Davison. Nasty, racist little twat. His luxury cruiser just burnt down in Torquay Marina. Oh dear (was prob an insurance job).

Presumably Mark Owen didn't attempt to get off with you, then? He chose the fattie instead|? How very dare he!! Grin grin] He could probably tell by the vibes what a judgemental and unpleasant person you were.

I met Boy George at a club and I told him I was a massive fan, he just snorted and shooed me away. Maybe I was too enthusiastic, I don’t know. But I can’t enjoy his songs anymore which is a shame

Friend of mine used to work for Boy George, he has been and still is incredibly kind to her over the years and generous. I always get an update on what he's up to when I see her.
