Will Charles abdicate?

Just that really, do you think Charles will abdicate and pass to William?

They seem to be priming William & Kate to take on the roles and are much more public then Charles

YANBU - yes he will
YABU - no he won’t

Of course he won't and why should he?

He's harmless enough.

The Queen won't live forever and he's in line to be the next monarch.

It's not just a case of his 'passing it on', he can't just walk away. It takes an act of Parliament for a king to abdicate and he's not even the king yet.

Just be thankful it's not Andrew in line to take over.

No, why would he?
He has been preparing for this role all of his life.
He will take his place as king, as always planned, and will do the job until he dies.
William is being prepared in the same way that Charles was. As his father ages he will do increasing amounts of work, like Charles has been doing for the queen. George will have the same happen for him too as he grows older.
