Eagle
Striker (bike)

Onekidnoclue · 29/05/2022 16:16

Cora
georgiana
eloise.
something old fashioned I think and not too commonplace

SaskiaRembrandt · 29/05/2022 16:18

I wanted to be called Aqua Marina.

Crunchymum · 29/05/2022 16:18

Cassie

Marcipex · 29/05/2022 16:19

Jane as a small child; I wanted to be the girl in the Ladybird books.
Something more exotic as a teen, something LOTR probably 😂

CarpeVitam · 29/05/2022 16:21

Meredith

Sheridan

Bonjovispjs · 29/05/2022 16:23

Carrie, although everyone always points out that that's a horror film😆I've just always liked the name!

As a child I wanted to be called Paul, strongly wanted this!

As an adult I sort of wish my parents had gone for a slightly more interesting version of mine already- like Kirsten or Kristen or Kirstie. I just got Kirsty which is fine but always feels almost right

MistyRuins · 29/05/2022 16:25

Kizzy.

Loved the book/tv programme.

gnatgnu · 29/05/2022 16:26

Melody

MountainClimber22 · 29/05/2022 16:27

Capricia 😂 my son made me call him Thor for awhile.

Kanaloa · 29/05/2022 16:27

I always wanted to have a really long name with loads of nicknames I could use. Like Elisabetta or Alexandrina or something equally frilly and OTT!

largeprintagathachristie · 29/05/2022 16:27

I have a name no-one could spell or pronounce. Was a really shy kid, and hated the first class of a year when a new teacher would read the register.

I LONGED for a ‘normal’ name. Laura or Kate were among my favourites.

Mommabear20 · 29/05/2022 16:30

Sarah, I loved the little princess film and love that Sarah, in Hebrew means Princess!

topshotta · 29/05/2022 16:31

skipper🤣

SickKid · 29/05/2022 16:32

Something jewel themed like Crystal or Topaz

startrek90 · 29/05/2022 16:33

As a little girl I liked Bernadette or Roberta, as a teenager I would have like Kathryn, shortened to Kate. In fact I wanted my daughter to be called one of those names but my DH vetoed them all.

Shakeupandwakeup · 29/05/2022 16:34

I wanted to be called Antonia - Toni for short.

Porcupineintherough · 29/05/2022 16:35

Shane.
Obviously I'd need to have changed sex as well.

BalloonsAndWhistles · 29/05/2022 16:40

Camilla Devenzies-Johnson.
No, seriously 😳 🙄
No idea why at 8 years old I wanted to be called that 😆

MaisyMary77 · 29/05/2022 16:51

My name is really unusual. As a child I was teased a lot because of it. I used to tell people my real name was Joanna. I sooo wanted to be called Joanna! Only stopped when I got married and I suddenly realised that my real name was actually very pretty. 😄(still occasionally wish I was called Joanna when telling someone for the umpteenth time how to spell my name correctly)

SenoraAveiro · 29/05/2022 16:53

Davey, after the main character in Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume.

Margotshypotheticaldog · 29/05/2022 16:55

Me too!!
Wanted this from about 12-18. Rather liked my name thereafter. And also being a woman

LakieLady · 29/05/2022 16:56

Josephine, so I could be Jo for short.

I was obsessed with Little Women, and identified with Jo March.
