I just came across this link on Github and I suppose it should not be shocked by this, but the sheer numbers do shock me. It's the number of posts, comments, tweets and accounts that have been used to spread misinformation about Amber Heard. Why on Earth is this woman targeted with so much hate? Why are MRA's scope-locked on her in particular?

YANBU in my view. I had little interest in the court case and don't generally read much celebrity gossip, yet my Facebook algorithm keeps showing me pages of memes hostile to Amber Heard. Something strange and really unsettling is going on.

I am sure it is started by the similar ultra right lot behind the anti-vax/covid conspiracy shite which then has moved on to pro-Russian, anti-environmentalism stuff. They are anti women and this is an incredible way to stop women from being believed in DV cases and to shut all women up.

you only have to read some replies on here the hatred for AH and the obsession with her every single move and the total disregarding of JD’s actions just explained as though it’s completely insignificant that he is so vile the way he talks about women

i hope in a fear years time far more people will look back and regardless of how they feel is guilty/not guilty/both guilty will realise this is very disturbing

No it's not. The opposite is coming out. The misinformation bots are editting and posting out of context snippets that make her look bad, but if you watch the whole thing you can see that he is the one that's full of shit.

I don’t agree. The experts today destroyed Amber’s from yesterday. They seemed a lot more credible. I’ve always said it’s going to be a very tricky case for him to win because he has to prove every single accusation is a lie but I think he’s definitely shown the public that her version of events is not the whole truth.

I find it really unsettling, to me it seems to be a toxic relationship on both sides. People are slating her court appearances but I can't help feel Johnny Depp doesn't come across great either, he appears to find it all amusing like a big joke and I'm not fond of Camille Vasquez who also comes across as smug and like it's a joke. It worries me what impact this is going to have on women who come forward with claims of abuse in future.

Johnny Depp may well be a hell raiser but that does not make him an abuser.

I couldn't face my abuser like that in court now and what happened to me was over 20 months ago. She's the hide of a rhino, I don't believe a word she says.

If your abuser sued you you would have no choice but to face him in court. You think that shit is optional? What do you think this trial is about? He is unlikely to win, but that's not the goal of this trial. He wants to completely destroy his ex.

Her reaction to alerting TMZ left no doubt that she lied about knowing they'd be at the court. She posted pictures of her face after she'd been punched in the face so many times she couldn't remember, but there was no mark and yet Depp wears chunky rings on every finger.

I believe he hit her. I do. But she makes it hard when she doesn't just tell lies, but she doubles down on them. It's got to make the jury wonder if she lies about some stuff, is she lying about it all?

I saw a woman who claimed to be an abuse survivor ripping Amber to shreds for getting mixed up about which dates certain incidents occurred. She was saying “This proves she’s lying!!!!! When you’re a victim of abuse the trauma is engrained in you, you don’t forget the details!”. Biggest load of shit I’ve ever heard. She also claimed that abuse victims trying to block out their abuse isn’t something that actually happens.

I have no comment to make on the court case. I know nothing about it. i have no interest whatsoever.

But something weird is going on.

I don’t think I’ve ever intentionally watched a film with either of them in. Never googled either of them. I’m a very very sporadic user of fb and not on any other social media but my fb is FLOODED with videos and comments about the court case and they are 100% against her. How is that? These sites work on algorithms that tailor to the user and yet there must be at least 10 everyday. It’s scary.,

This. Like a lot of people, I just do not believe a word she says.
It doesnt really matter who wins as Johnny has exposed her for the horror she is. She may be mentally unwell but she destroyed his career to further her own.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but should he have let the world believe her lies?
Its a mess but I think what is making public anger is she seems to have played off the #metoo, by doing that she belittled genuine abuse victims.
She used their experiences for attention for her film and to look altruistic. She's been proven not to have donated her divorce settlement, what else has she lied about?
I do worry for her mental health once this is over and I don't agree with the hate but she's the girl who cried wolf.
Best outcome is no-one 'wins' and no damages awarded.
Only the lawyers win here.

This case has little to do with who was most at fault and all to do with who has the better lawyer. They are both at fault and all I can deduce from this is that they were both in a toxic relationship. Other than than its not for the general public to start picking sides or throwing abuse at either party. This has become sickeningly voyeuristic.

I've been watching the LIVE court case. And she isn't being truthful. Do I believe he hasnt at least been verbally abusive? No. But I do think, when violence was involved, she was the aggressor. It's clear from the tape recording that she goaded him and would physically prevent him leaving a situation and at time, admits to being violent and then tries to manipulate/gaslight him into thinking it was something less major ("I didn't hit you Jonny, I pushed you. Come on, be a man...")

The relationship was wrong on many levels and clearly his addictions wouldn't have helped things. But she's a manipulative, nasty piece of work. To deny that just shows you haven't watched the evidence yourself, to me.
