'Messy' guest room sheets

WorkingOnItWhateverItIs · 05/05/2022 14:22

I'm pretty sure I'm not being U but also want to check I'm not being a fusty old cow.

Had some friends round, three couples, one who isn't local asked if they could crash at ours rather than not drink or get a taxi. We said, sure! We have a guest room, all good.
They're mid 20s, my DH and I are early 40s. We have an 11y DS.
We'd told them that evening that we're early risers, just as a heads up. All good.
Next morning, they're up, showers, come down around 9.30, we all have breakfast together. They head off around 11am.
I go up to change the bedding as we have other guests due. Pull back the duvet and see a wet patch on the sheet. Pull off the sheet, the wet patch is through to the mattress. It's jizz. No doubt.
So, AIBU to think that's a bit rank? Or am I being fusty and should be a bit more chill? I don't care about the sexy time, do what you like, but clear it up. 'Finish' so it's tidy iyswim. We're likely to have them round again at some point but there's no way I'm letting them stay, is that mean? Obviously, if they asked, I'd have to say 'you know, my cleaning up jizz days are behind me and probably in front of me with a boy in the house so no thanks. Go do that in the taxi home and receive the bill instead.'

Once had an overnight guest in the spare room. He got up and left after breakfasting with us in the morning. Went up to change the bed only to find he'd had a wank, and left the wank tissues under the pillow. Now that was seriously gross. And no... he was never allowed to stay again.

LouLou198 · 05/05/2022 15:25

That's grim! They should have stripped the bed. Invest in a mattress protector, the waterproof kind.

LuckySantangelo35 · 05/05/2022 15:26

Yeah it’s a bit rank and inconsiderate. They should have just used a condom or refrained for one night. I wouldn’t want to leave my cum behind on someone bed to soak into their mattress.

😱

Such bad manners not to have stripped the bed.

Do get a mattress protector though.

TheSpottedZebra · 05/05/2022 15:27

Were they VERY drunk?

Not entirely relevant, but am intrigued why your friends are half your age!

kitkatkaytie · 05/05/2022 15:31

Grim. Surely they could have abstained for one night??!

Indicatrice · 05/05/2022 15:33

That's disgusting, they didn't even attempt to clean it. This means they see you as a free hotel and I definitely wouldn't let them stay again.

Do get a good quality mattress protector for other guests though.

SwishSwishBisch · 05/05/2022 15:33

Howling at @jytdtysrht ”fine with the sex but they should have brought their own towel and taken it home or rinsed it or anything.”

This is the most MN reply possible. Bravo bravo 👏🏻 🏆😂
Remember folks, always take a sex towel with you wherever you go!

hoorayandupsherises · 05/05/2022 14:34

It is rank and I blooming wouldn't have them round again.

Nor would I!!

If there's a next time ask them to strip the bed and put the sheets by the machine.

rainyskylight · 05/05/2022 15:36

Ok bit of a long shot.... but potentially they could have gone to strip the bed but realised the wet patch looked even worse on the unprotected mattress so left it on instead in the hope that maybe it would dry in time.

YABU not to have a mattress protector, gross.
YANBU they should have stripped the bed.

luckylavender · 05/05/2022 15:36

I am so amazed that so many people think this is ok. It's rank.

Letsbekindplease · 05/05/2022 15:38

I think it’s a bit rude because they musta have known that was left and that you would find it.

I always strip beds where I stay. A habit from when I worked in a hotel. It was so painstakingly annoying stripping beds, so I always strip the bed on leaving. I don’t know why they didn’t even do that and leave them lying to save you the trouble of finding the jizz.

Not too drunk in the morning to strip the bed.

Herecomestreble1 · 05/05/2022 15:39

Is it common practice to travel with one's own personal shag towel?...

TheSpottedZebra · 05/05/2022 15:42

Well he could could improvise with (his own) pants or socks as I presume he was wearing his same clothes the next day.

caringcarer · 05/05/2022 15:42

Did you give them towels for showering next morning? If so they could have shagged on that. If you did not provide one less unreasonable.

Drinkingallthewine · 05/05/2022 15:43

They could't manage to use a tissue or a bit of toilet paper? Ew.

So yes, TWBU. But YABU not having some sort of mattress cover as well. Bad enough it's jizz but if it was flooding or incontinence, that's more than likely a new mattress.

Are you going to say anything to them?

Sisisimone · 05/05/2022 15:50

Some of these replies are hilarious. Should have brought their own towel? 🤣🤣
I'd probably think it's was a bit yuk when I was stripping the bed but would have just thrown the bedding in the machine and thought nothing of it. You must have literally ran up as soon as you shut the door on them to find the wet patch, I'm not a clean freak so by the time I would have stripped the bed later probs wouldn't even have noticed!
you know, my cleaning up jizz days are behind me and probably in front of me with a boy in the house so no thanks. Go do that in the taxi home and receive the bill instead
I can't actually believe you would consider saying that to someone. So cringe.Far more embarrassing than them having a quick morning shag.

yousexybugger · 05/05/2022 15:51

Definitely rude. I wouldn't care about them bonking either as long as ot was discreet and ok, it's not radioactive but it's not pleasant to leave body fluids for OP or her next guests to find. They should have used a towel or something.

filo443 · 05/05/2022 15:56

I wouldn't want any guest to be stripping a bed in my house, bloody hell guest's don't do that, they pull back the duvet and leave it for the host. No guest lifts a figure in my house and I don't want them fiddling with bedding or rummaging in the fridge... Guests are catered for, looked after and do not do housekeeping chores.
OP get some protective sheets. It's not ideal but these things happen.

WulyJmpr · 05/05/2022 16:00

Yep it's really grim YANBU.

tanstaafl · 05/05/2022 16:01

Was there a beaker on the bedside cabinet too?

Gunpowder · 05/05/2022 16:06

I’m dying at the BYO sex towel part. 😂

It does sound a bit grim OP, but sheets can be washed. I’d definitely get a mattress protector for the bed. John Lewis do the best ones.

SirenSays · 05/05/2022 16:06

Im not sure id want guests faffing around stripping beds. Its not pleasant to find but hardly that shocking. I'd have just shoved it into the machine and forgotten about it. I'd much rather they jizz on my guest sheets than my towels though 🤮
