Royally pissed off. And shouldn't labelling be better regulated to ensure only products made with real milk and cream (aka dairy) are called 'ice cream'? Oat paste should be marketed as something else.

Being the '1st carbon negative ice cream company' will not make any difference if the product is no good or cannot be eaten due to allergens🙄

As the world doesn't revolve around you the OP doesn't sound like they were making a personal attack towards vegans, more bemoaning the fact that as many companies have hopped on trend to turn a profit its often at the expense of other dietary foods. Sounds to be moaning about the company to be honest, and isn't that far off the mark. I am vegan and understand its not actually a trend, but these companies are absolutely doing it for the money, and I'm sure vegan ranges will soon decrease as something else emerges. And no, when people are saying I can't be vegan the need to dispute that is pathetic really and quite odd. Definitely the type of vegan that put me off even trying at the start.

Jesus Christ @Innocenta, how about I live my life you live yours? Whatever I say or do won't be good enough for you so I don't know what you want me to say other than no, I don't go out of my way to buy vegan products as they are more expensive! I had no option but to have leather with my car so perhaps someone needs to take that up with Mazda.

I agree. To me it’s wrong. There’s not much justification for the huge scale of exploitation and killing of animals or the damage it’s causing to the planet. I can’t respect people that are unwilling to make changes because they like cheese or bacon. I think they sound immature. I’m not too worried about appearing judgemental when animals lives are involved. There’s something far more important, thd animals and the whole planet !

If you’re going to be someone that’s involved such harm, I think you’ve got to expect some judgement. If a conversation about it makes you uncomfortable, imagine how the animals feel. Or how future generations will view you.

@PinkSparklyPussyCat Vegan products aren't more expensive! Obviously no one here has any control over what you do, it's completely up to you. But when you cite digestive issues as the reason for not eating plant-based, it's perfectly reasonable to then ask what stops you from otherwise leading a vegan lifestyle (i.e. refraining from causing harm to animals, and by extension the earth, as much as is possible and practicable). Living as a vegan can be very cheap, actually.

@OhLordyWhatNow I haven't told anyone to fuck off. People don't like to be pushed and questioned when their logic is faulty. A lot of people who are against veganism are judging based on poor logic or unsound ethics.

They don't like us because it holds a mirror up to their own inadequacies. Everybody deep down knows it is the right thing to do but won't do it because 'bacon' or 'cheese'. I don't blame them though I was one of those people for a long time. Took a 35 minute YouTube video I stumbled upon accidentally and that was me done, I haven't looked back since.

Why did you claim that it's because of your digestive problems that you 'can't' eat plant based, then? If the truth is that you just want to live an unethical lifestyle. That is normal; it's what most people do. But it would be more honest not to claim that you 'can't' when it's really 'I don't want'...

@OhLordyWhatNow I've just quoted a post. Care to do the same in relation to your accusations? People are entitled to defend themselves and considering MN hasn't deleted them presumably they agree. I have seen attacks on vegans deleted.

Did you need a 2 seater sports car? Or did you just want one? You are right that you don’t have to take notice of individuals like me speaking out. But if you want the planet to survive, you should. And soon, there will be no choice. We will be plant based, we can’t go on farming animals because the planet can’t take it. I think it’s a selfish attitude, there’s changes that we can all make and we owe it to animals and future generations to try. Do you just not care about future generations?

Because it does affect me being able to eat a plant based diet FFS! Diet and lifestyle are two different things, I don't eat the fucking car seat!

I don't have kids, rarely fly, recycle where I can and the meat I eat is local and organic (although I know that isn't good enough for some on here).

Good question! Seriously we had a very stressful start to the holiday (chucked out of our original accommodation by the owner for daring to complain about it!) and had to move on and I think it's all caught up with us as we're knackered. It's heaving here today because of the bank holiday so the holiday starts properly tomorrow!
