Royally pissed off. And shouldn't labelling be better regulated to ensure only products made with real milk and cream (aka dairy) are called 'ice cream'? Oat paste should be marketed as something else.

Being the '1st carbon negative ice cream company' will not make any difference if the product is no good or cannot be eaten due to allergens🙄

I think you've misunderstood what I meant? I do not like gluten free vegan biscuits they're disgusting. I like vegan biscuits.

Gluten free tend to be a crumbly dry mess.

And yes, gf usually tastes awful. So I'd be supportive of better options for those needing gf. But not when they intentionally vegan bash.

There’s some nice jammy dodgers from sainsburys which are gf and vegan. Also their rocky road is good, and I had something else from that range earlier which was like a crispy salted caramel chocolate slice? I can recommend!

It’s such a pain when the limited food you can have gets removed. I find it frustrating that a lot of the free from food in supermarkets is gluten free but has eggs/milk/nuts. My son has allergies to these, so I welcome the vegan ice cream that’s not nut based. I’ve had the Jude’s vegan ice cream and I think it’s very good tbh.

Ive always written to companies when this has happened, hasn’t really helped but you never know and at least companies are then aware of potentially losing some customers.

So would you be happy to eat dogs? Horses? Beetles?

Have you tried taking away food when an animal is eating?

The same will happen if you (or activists) try to remove foods and take away alternatives from people.

@beautifulworldwhereareyou Genuinely really glad there are some good ones! I actually have a nasty feeling my doctors may eventually want me to go gluten free again (obviously still not anywhere near as serious as coeliac, but not as a trend either; complex medical Stuff) and I sincerely want there to be good gf options whether that happens or not.

Just in case - I do find Sainsbury’s is good in general, their taste the difference range is great for little treats! They do nice stuff around Christmas too.

Bread is the hardest! Waitrose does a decent imitation of sourdough which I had before I was vegan but it has egg in. I mean, it tasted nothing like sourdough but it tasted less like betrayal than most attempts.

That was to the belly rubs!

I'm not vegan bashing, but I would appreciate it if they would keep their religion to themselves and not try to dictate what others eat or do.
