With Boris the lamest of lame ducks with not much longer until he is toast and Rishi "don't tax me" Sunak seemingly out of the running AIBU to think that the path is clear for Michael Gove to become the countries saviour and best ever Prime Minister?

Gawd, is there no end to our miseries!

OverByYer · 12/04/2022 18:01

I don’t like the bloke at all, but I can’t think of anyone else better either. They’re all a bunch of c**nts.

clkim · 12/04/2022 18:01

RewildingAmbridge · 12/04/2022 18:02

Do you want the list of public sector departments he's fucked over?? Good God.

DappledShade · 12/04/2022 18:03

Please tell me there is someone better than Michael Gove, the man did significant damage to our education system and should not be in charge of a country.

NippyWoowoo · 12/04/2022 18:03

Rather Dishy Rishi of the lot

Gowithme · 12/04/2022 18:04

Liz Truss?

Just kiddin'

But she looks so good in a tank.
eddiemairswife · 12/04/2022 18:04

I think Jeremy Hunt might be the best of a bad lot.

Iputthetrampintrampoline · 12/04/2022 18:04

Boris will be going nowhere.....sadly.

DebtheSander · 12/04/2022 18:05

I said on an earlier thread that my money is on Gove as the next Chancellor. Sunak is as good as done. The best thing he can do now is resign and publicly state that he is resigning because of the fine. That he considers holding one of the three highest offices of state to be incompatible with being fined.

Johnson will not resign. He is loving his war leader by proxy opportunities.

Skinterior · 12/04/2022 18:05

He's been waiting a long time for a clear path.

It's not like anyone in the public sector votes Tory anyway - it's not a vote loser.

God help us.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 12/04/2022 18:06

^this.

DebtheSander · 12/04/2022 18:06

Give won’t want the top job just yet. He will wait until Covid public enquiry has roasted Johnson.

You’re clearly insane. Sorry.
KeyErro · 12/04/2022 18:08

I dunno, did he have the rat-like cunning common sense to not actually break the law by attending a fucking party during lockdown?
I don't care for the man but he seems competent and hard-working.
It'd be nice to have a grown-up in charge.

ChiswickFlo · 12/04/2022 18:09

Goves recent nightclub behaviour and mid life crisis it's not going to happen.
He's also very Unpopular within the party.
Jeremy hunt.
Mark my words.

YorkshireIndie · 12/04/2022 18:09

discodannie · 12/04/2022 18:09

Me too. And seeing as I think she's a slimy, self-serving, narcissistic arsehole who has no discernible loyalty to the country and people he represents... you can guess how I feel about Gove.
