Gove for PM

With Boris the lamest of lame ducks with not much longer until he is toast and Rishi "don't tax me" Sunak seemingly out of the running AIBU to think that the path is clear for Michael Gove to become the countries saviour and best ever Prime Minister?

With the clear exception of the wonderfully lovely and warm hearted Dame Varsi, all the conservative MPs I know are people with very low moral standards, no integrity, zero empathy and will not make decisions for the good of most people but will continue to seek to maintain and gain power and money. Sociopaths the lot of them. Frying pan and fire. May as well keep Borris. At least we know he’s an incompetent, sociopath with zero morals and integrity. Better the devil you know.

Haven’t we suffered enough?

Following the Easter recess, the Govt is introducing legislation to make Boris Johnson Prime Minister for life.

No, it is important in this cost of living crisis that the government raises taxes on the least able to pay, whilst ensuring that they and their mates pay as little as possible. Gove with his famous attention to detail will level all million and billionaires up to being above average million and billionaires and so will be even better than Boris.

Bet if you had a car or a partner that was as useless as he is, you'd get rid?

But apparently when its the PM, sticking with a useless idiot is the thing to do.

PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn · 12/04/2022 22:44

I don't think you're wrong...Rishi has been the target of a Tory hit imo

jgw1 · 12/04/2022 22:49

Gove is the best PM we are yet to have.

Is there anyone in the cabinet that isn't a smirky, smug faced, useless reject from The Apprentice? They are so out of touch it is farcical. I bet they will be wearing football shirts and eating a Gregg's soon to try and look like one of us.

Let's face it nobody is really standing out as next PM, not for good reasons anyway. Liz Truss is happy to waste thousands of pounds taking a personal jet to Australia on tax payers money, so she is the same as the rest of them. Maybe we can just get Nadine Dorries in for a laugh, it worked well with Boris Johnson didn't it?

But Gove, Jesus, we are a laughing stock already.

I see much more competence in the opposition, but then they haven't been in the public eye so much. Their policies are far more superior at the moment than the Tories - nothing positive happens under them. Just constantly getting kicked in the fanny by them instead.

Ohwellnevermindthen · 12/04/2022 23:03

You mean we will never have (hopefully).

Why the Gove love? Has he been showing you his polaroids again?

It's not a hit if you are doing something immoral in the first place. He's hardly a victim.

I do think there is skull duggery going on here though.

RedSwing · 12/04/2022 23:08

They are all a shower of shites how on earth do people votes for such a hateful crowd of useless pukes…the Tory Party.

Bloody hell. All that effort he put into SPAG and his only fan can’t use apostrophes correctly.

But yeah, sure. No teacher or parent will ever vote for him so labour would stand a chance of getting back in. Let’s do it. GOVE FOR PM!

Gove wouldn't get on the Apprentice, he is actually competent at what he does.

That is why he should be PM.

Gove the competent for PM.

Michael Gove hasn't managed to bag one of the big cabinet roles and that suggests that he isn't trusted with such. He hasn't convinced those around him that he can be a big hitter.

The man is an intellectual and thinker and rated as such by colleagues. They want to draw on his knowledge, but they know he isn't a leader. The machinations he gets involved in make his contribution to public life, not just ineffectual, but also toxic.

AndrewPreview · 13/04/2022 12:33

Out of the current Tory MPs, who is there that is actually competent/intelligent and not morally reprehensible? and preferably not a puppet of Jacob Rees Mogg.

Please list them because I honestly don't know and I wonder if that's what's keeping the Conservatives from getting rid of Johnson.

Lonelycrab · 13/04/2022 12:54

Grin

But surely, Truss is our next saviour!

toomanydogsandcats · 13/04/2022 12:58

If this thread was about a female MP people would be extremely offended to see the number of comments on her appearance never mind the really spiteful picture. Typical champagne socialists with double standards. I hope Boris stays for the rest of his life just to say up yours to some of you who are truly childish and spiteful.

longwayoff · 13/04/2022 12:58

@jgw1, too much concentration on politics, you seem to have morphed into Sarah Vine, star columnist and DM stalwart. Can we send help?

toomanydogsandcats · 13/04/2022 13:00

The above is exactly what I mean. Pointless spite.

He is changing the Law to ensure he is PM for life.
longwayoff · 13/04/2022 14:09

jgw1 I see my comment's been perceived as pointless spite. I hope I've not upset you and understand the spirit in which it was meant.

NashvilleQueen · 13/04/2022 14:16

He was very much liked by staff at Defra and MOJ.

NashvilleQueen · 13/04/2022 14:17

I'd never vote Tory by the way so no skin in this particular game.

Libertybear80 · 13/04/2022 14:17
