Just as the title says.

Noah Donohoe disappeared coming home from school, his body was found in a storm drain without his clothes.

His mother can not get answers on why the police decided, immediately that there was no four play and us being blocked from seeing 4 files by the police.

She says On the day Noah was found, before Noah was formally identified, the Police did a media release stating that there was ‘No Foul Play’ involved.I ask, if the police are so sure that ‘No Foul Play’ was involved, why are the police now trying to stop me, as Noah’s mummy, getting four files of information on Noah’s investigation?

Surely I am not unreasonable to think this isn't ok and that most of use would want to know what had happened to our child?

This is an overview of what has happened so far.

@pompomseverywhere Isn't there a petition about this? Maybe sharing a link to that might help op

The concern about posting a link to the petition on here, is that Mumsnet might use it as an excuse to delete the thread or move it to a backwater location. It then becomes very difficult indeed to get or keep it in Active and for people to see it.

Here are links to the other threads on Mumsnet about Noah. For those wanting to sign the petition, you will very easily find a link to it on all of those threads. Thank you in advance for any signatures, sharing and bumps. The petition is currently at 302,140 and the target now is 500k. Flowers

MNHQ: PLEASE DELETE MY POST IF IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO YOU, RATHER THAN MOVING OR DELETING THIS THREAD. IT IS MY POST AND I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. IT IS NOT THE OP'S FAULT AT ALL. THANK YOU.

Just trying to fathom out the silent 14 people who voted YABU - only one YABU comment.

Absolutely thinking of Fiona today. She's an amazing woman and I truly hope she gets justice.

This case seems to be quite horrific, but also very confusing and baffling. Fiona Donohoe, her family and their community in Belfast are doing great work and they seem to have political support from some quarters so I hope they get what they're looking for.

He seemed like such a lovely child and it's just devastating what's happened to him. I was in Belfast a couple of weeks ago and parts of the city are covered in murals and signs supporting the campaign. It was nice to see.

Turningpurple · 27/03/2022 19:07

I am surprised by how little coverage this has had in England. Its shameful really.

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for your ongoing support - it means so much to us. We are incredibly disappointed that we have still not be given an update by the Coroner, the Police Service or the Chief constable on what is happening with the PII. We are being left in limbo and we want answers.

Please keep signing and sharing so the PSNI know - more than 300,000 of you are watching.

We all are Noah's Voice for Justice

Thank you,

Fiona and Niamh

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 27/03/2022 20:05

Shocking that they are getting away with it, despite it all being publicised. Keep fighting Fiona, we are all with you. Thinking of beautiful Noah.

TempName01 · 27/03/2022 20:23

I can’t imagine any valid reason for withholding the information, the only thing I was thinking is if the case is linked to or evidence to an ongoing case or serious crime which is still being investigated.

TooBigForMyBoots · 27/03/2022 21:14

@TheRealMrsMac

I read somewhere: 'this is the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Stephen Lawrence moment' - I will try and find it and post.
I agree with that @TheRealMrsMac. The police's actual fucking job is to search for missing children and fully investigate death in suspicious circumstances.

Instead of supporting and helping Fiona Donahoe, the PSNI have been obstructive, complacent, incompetent and shady as fuck.Angry

Googled for a petition and found it easily and shared far and wide.

Just wondering why this hasn't appeared in Active after a post. Let's try again. I hope the MN algorithms haven't been adjusted in the wrong way again!

Sorry but do people actually think someone harmed this child? Not that he'd had an accident?

@Alliswells

Sorry but do people actually think someone harmed this child? Not that he'd had an accident?
Well no one knows for sure. Because they won't release the information.

But yes, I believe some people are of the opinion that it was not an accident.

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 28/03/2022 17:00

What kind of an accident would leave you that far into a storm drain that was difficult to access when he was en route to meet friends on his bike? A city with, I assume, plenty of CCTV only catches him twice, clearly cycling with purpose.

Yanbu

Even if mum has to sign a NDA and is prevented from copying the info, she should be entitled to the details of those files with possibly redacted bits.
