Police believe the body of the missing 14 year old has been found. Was hoping and praying it wouldn't end this way. His poor mother.

It's so sad. His poor family.

MadeForThis · 27/06/2020 15:33

Local press conference has just confirmed a specialist search team found him in a storm drain. Hope the autopsy and the analysis of his laptop give his family some answers. RIP.

Chocolatepeanuts · 27/06/2020 15:43

@MadeForThis excuse my ignorance but does that mean foul play isn't suspected? As in he fell in?

That poor boy and his family....

MadeForThis · 27/06/2020 15:45

They have said that they don't suspect foul play.

MadeForThis · 27/06/2020 15:47

The family are unsure why he was in North Belfast as he lived in South Belfast. They are hoping the phone and laptop might explain this.

7Days · 27/06/2020 15:49

Aww no poor lad

ReiltinDubh · 27/06/2020 17:36

from the MailOnline,
Police in Northern Ireland believe a body found in North Belfast this morning is the missing teenager Noah Donohoe who vanished six days ago on a bicycle ride through the city six days ago. Detectives say they believe the 14-year-old fell off his bike and hit his head before stripping off naked and then continuing to cycle through the city, based on witness statements from people in the area.

so people saw a youngster without clothes riding a bicycle.
and made no further enquiry. not even to ring police anon.
circumstances suggest a head injury leading to confusion.
please let us all be a little bit nosey, risk getting involved.

MadeForThis · 27/06/2020 19:38

The person who saw him fall off a bike was in their car at traffic lights. Said he jumped up and rode off. He was fully clothed at this point. They contacted the police once his missing appeal went out.

The person who saw him with no clothes was in her house. She ran outside but by this time he had disappeared. She phoned the police.

I hope this turns out to be a sequence of tragic accidents.

LadyEloise · 28/06/2020 09:16

Oh how sad for his family. May he rest in peace.

Iblinkedandiamold · 28/06/2020 10:02

Very sad, I was hoping he was to found a little confused in a shed or something like the rest of country. His poor family. My heart breaks for them.

serenada · 02/07/2020 13:46

Do they know yet what happened? I keep thinking of him wandering around confused on his own.

Okayokayok · 02/07/2020 16:37

@serenada the police said "no foul play" and there have been no updates since, he was buried yesterday. They expect people to believe that a 14 year old child with everything going for him, attended a grammar school and was excelling in various subjects, never took drugs and was travelling by bike WITH a helmet on, carrying a backpack with his book & laptop fell of his bike in the middle of a highly sectarian area (the same spot a young boy named Flynn Maguire was attacked by a group of boys and had his bike and phone stolen and received a large gash to his head requiring hospital treatment 2 weeks prior, only he managed to run 3 miles to safety from them - google flynn Maguire belfast attack to read the full article) then hit his head (this is just speculation and he was wearing a helmet as I said) then stripped off his clothes (no one rang police to report this, no CCTV footage of this happening, no one used their phones to record a teenager cycling naked - which we all know that in this generation people always record such things) then cycled into the heart of a loyalist area, discarded his bike and climbed a mile into a storm drain that he wouldnt even be able to open on his own and then just die for absolutley no apparent reason then found 6 days later dead. His coat and some other clothing were never recovered but his laptop/backpack and phone were.

Nothing makes sense at all and I pray his mum and family get the truth and justice

serenada · 02/07/2020 22:01

I imagine, under those circumstances, and because of the very bizarre nature of this in general, the police are probably treating this very carefully and using intelligence to piece things together and want to be able to get everything right.

My thoughts are with his mum, too. He shone brightly, didn't he?
