Aibu to think this isn’t okay - cleaner nespresso

We have a cleaner who comes in on a daily basis and obviously we have tea and instant coffee, which we keep in our home and provide for her to drink. However I noticed we are going through nespresso capsules quickly and then I realized she has nespresso(s) daily when she works. My husband does drink coffee and I’m the only one that drinks it and as a treat, even it home.

Aibu to address this with cleaner?

I tried to hide a sleeve with some capsules in, she found it and had a couple while emptying the rest into the nespresso jar.

Why don't you hollow out the used capsules and refill them with your old grounds to save yourself the 11p

Also bill your cleaner for the time it takes for you tin reseal then with foil, a sort of service charge

If there's a thread I'm interested in and there's quite a few pages of posts, I tend to look at the 'See All' on the original post. If there's only 1 and the OP hasn't responded to replies at all , then I come out of the thread, because what's the point ?

I'm not normally in the "oooh, you have a cleaner! Where's the limo, darling?" Brigade, but... A daily cleaner?! Come on. You must have a reasonably healthy bank account. Enough that getting through the coffee pod sleeves at a slightly increased rate probably means sweet fuck all to your budget.

God I'm going against the masses here but I'd be annoyed at this. But that's because of how much milk a Nespresso latte uses, we'd have no milk left if a cleaner was having 2 a day 😂

I would also be annoyed at hiding them and her still finding them, but I guess I'm one of the stingy lower class that most people on this thread seem to be whinging at.

Just speak to her and ask her not to have any.

I don't think there is any reason for the OP to have her tail between her legs. She can probably afford the pods but so what? The cleaner is helping herself to them and it's different to just making an instant coffee. I wouldn't dream of helping myself to pods in that situation without asking

In your defence, I would probably not help myself to nespresso every day without asking in someone else’s home. But I couldn’t anyway as would have no idea how to operate the machine

Disclaimer: I’ve never had one of these machines and don’t know the cost - but - I do enjoy it if someone makes me one at their house.

OP has overplayed her hand.

She knew if she said the cleaner came in weekly she would get zero sympathy for 1 x consumed coffee pod so the cleaner became a daily one so she could ramp up the number of consumed coffee pods.

But seems to have missed that if you can afford daily help than you can afford a daily coffee pod or two for the cleaner.

This is your problem. You've spoiled her from the start - do you think she'd get tea or coffee at the workhouse?
