Hope you don't mind whytcvv just posting here as your thread reached the limit for posts

Posting your original OP here:- Ignore my previous thread-start as it didn't include important title"

whytcvv
When will the rules change as I completely agree this is unfair and I expect that you will all largely agree with me.

For anyone that doesn't agree, please explain your reasoning to help me better understand.

This reminds me of the weightlifting story from last year.

People that are born female and people who are born male should not be competing in these events together. Our physical bodies are not comparable.

Have as many genders as you can think of, but there are only two possible sexes that you can be born as and that is what eligibility in these competitions should be based on.

I know it’s almost as if they weee socialised male isn’t it 🤔

viques · 23/03/2022 08:52

On a nearly positive note I did see that Lord Coe, who sits on more fences than I have had hot dinners, did make a very mild remark, very quietly, about how he was rather worried about the future of womens sport. Well no shit Sherlock, stand up and be counted Sebastian, if Sharron Davies can take the flak you can too.

suckingonchillidogs · 23/03/2022 08:54

That was a really pathetic debate on GMB - no mention of how the other competitors are getting well and truly beaten, just focusing on whether the photo was real and how tall she is/isn't.

viques · 23/03/2022 08:57

@Singlebutmarried

GMB. India wotsit proclaiming straight faces that because a majority of sites have LT at 5’8” so it must be true.
I sort of understand India’s warped reasoning though. “ if enough people say Thomas is 5 foot 8 , it becomes true, if enough people say I am a woman……. it worked for Tinkerbell in Peter Pan after all. “:

Editorial note: Peter Pan is an imaginary work of fiction, it isn’t real life, oh, hold on a minute, as you were……….

The other competitors are too scared to say anything against LT, for fear of losing their scholarships. Would've been great if they brought up the testimony of one of the competitor's mother, or the friend who spoke out against.

Or highlighted that anyone who merely disagrees with the belief system that you can change biological sex, IW screams 'transphobic' and her followers pile on with rape and death threats.

Coe then chipped in that reducing T levels would solve everything.

Good he commented but Coe needs the humility to actually talk to the people who've been involved in this for some years and know what they are talking about rather than offering up his uninformed and, frankly ignorant, commentary.

suckingonchillidogs · 23/03/2022 09:11
Some broadcasters get it though
SamphiretheStickerist · 23/03/2022 09:15

I know this is being discussed elsewhere but this is not as sad a move as it might seem.

T levels can be implemented immediately. Have a lot of incontavertablescience behind them, TRAs already say they rely on them*; they can be set at female levels and no man in his right mind would try to reduce his to those levels - lifetime of dread disease and pain.

Well, as I have said elsewhere. Nice thinking. It would solve the immediate problem, but would just kick the issue down the line for a while.

*Although as with the outright lie about height, a certain someone/set of someones has already said that LT has the same T level a regular women. They just change the words, make up a new reality.... and expect us to swallow their lies whole!

Nope!

DottyHarmer · 23/03/2022 09:35

I can see that arguing the toss about the height can play into the hands of activists. There was a girl at school who was 6’3”. She was definitely a girl! The relevant point is that LT not only was a man, they still are a man.

Rather than set dubious (reversible) testosterone levels, just say No Male Anatomy. Not many want to go the whole hog of removal, and those that do are unlikely to be athletes.

There must be a reality check about “feeling” you are something else therefore you are. It will lead nowhere good.

334bu · 23/03/2022 10:07

India has obviously changed opinion on this issue. In the clip from triggernometry India seems very sure that transwomen have male bodies and have advantages in sport.

RantyAunty · 23/03/2022 10:09

I wonder who goes through and "fixes" the internet, erasing names, height, etc.?

I found a picture of Lia standing next to Isaac Henig. Isaac is estimated to be 6'0" and Lia was clearly 2 maybe 3 inches taller.

We aren't blind. Well most of us. We know how to estimate height.

334bu · 23/03/2022 10:12

India Willoughby some time ago telling people to believe what they see when it come to males who identify as women competing in women's sport

334bu · 23/03/2022 10:30

Isaac and Lia together poolside. Now according to Father Ted the furthest away will look smaller no?

🤣

"Do you see how it is not possible to hold both these ideas in your head at the same time?"

"No, I think it is because I think this is a sensitive matter."

That wasn't even the best exchange.

The point is that Thomas was happy to be six foot 4 when they we swam as a man, it is only since they have decided they are a woman that they have decided to be 5 foot 8.

Cutting down on testosterone and cutting off bits doesn’t stop the huge physical advantages that an athlete who has been through male puberty has over a female athlete, height of course is one of them , but Thomas has sorted that one, but I wonder how they will account for their reach, hand size, foot size, pelvic development, increased lung capacity, heart size, twitch response and overall muscle strength……..

Agreed.

spacehardware · 23/03/2022 15:04

Poor James Murray. The cognitive dissonance must have given him a migraine

Dinosauria · 23/03/2022 18:25

'Do you think it's a bit strange sitting there as a man telling me what a woman is'

'Is it lazy transphobia for a woman like myself to say that a man competing against women is not fair and is cheating and is ruining womens sport?'

Watching it again. She is so calm, clear and factual.

'A woman is and adult female and and adult male -so there is no such thing as a woman'

Dinosauria · 23/03/2022 18:26

Apologies 'A woman is an adult human female and a adult human male- so there is not such thing as a woman then'

EmperorsNewClothesBS · 23/03/2022 19:24

'Do you think it's a bit strange sitting there as a man telling me what a woman is'

Grin She did well to highlight this.

DrSbaitso · 23/03/2022 20:32

Something really, really bugged me when Daniel Radcliffe first publicly said that transwomen were women, beyond the logical absurdity, more so than when Emma Watson said it. It was a while before I realised I was pissed off that a man was telling me, a woman, what a woman is.

DrSbaitso · 23/03/2022 20:34

We could drop the doublethink and absurdity if we just accepted, like Simon Fanshawe, that women are women and transwomen are transwomen, and they are two different types of human.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 23/03/2022 21:23

You can see by his facial expressions and body language that he KNOWS he is chatting shit. He knows damn fucking well what a woman is.

They need to start asking what a man is. Watch the very different and definite responses to that. Men will simply not allow their category to be redefined. They give no shits about transmen.
