I think the F1 drivers are really attractive guys.

I got really into F1 the last couple of months and am just in time for the new season. When I started learning their names I couldn't help but notice that the guys are all really really fit, which I'm sure now has influenced my viewing lmao. I feel so wrong saying this, some of them are so young. None of them are difficult to look at though! Anyone else think so? Do you think they're attractive?

I'm so glad it's not just me. Weirdly I have a little crush on Max Verstappen right now, I'm a little embarrassed. Love Jenson Button as well. Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc are really cute but how embarrassing, I feel like I could be their mum Grin

Checo Perez is lovely and seems like a really nice guy, he comes across like he's really funny. Daniel Ricciardo too, I just love how happy and smiley he always is!

Can't stand Lewis Hamilton. LOVE Toto Wolff.

Leclerc and Norris yes lmao. Verstappen isn't as conventionally good looking I think but he has something appealing for sure.

Why don’t you like Lewis out of interest?

I think he’s fantastic. Principled, hard working and not a little Lord Fauntleroy/silver spoon rich boy like so many of the others.

I think Verstappen looks like a weasel! Although am biased as I think he stole the championship last season and anyone who’ll win by cheating should be ashamed

Rowgtfc72 · 21/03/2022 07:24

Hulkenberg yes. Used to like Bottas till he dumped his wife, although still like him as an underdog.
Can't stand Hamilton or Verstappen. Drivers have to have an arrogance about them but these two have too much.
Kimmi always my favourite. His best one was when Schumacher was getting an award and the interviewer asked Kimmi if he'd seen him get it and Kimmi replied- no, I was having a shitGrin
Dd is obsessed with Lando Norris.
She's aiming to be an F1 mechanic.Think she'd see a different side to F1 then.

I’m always surprised when people label Lewis as “arrogant” - he’s worked hard to get where he has, he always thanks the team around him, and the wide team at base, he working to improve inclusion, the racism he’s had to put up with is awful, he’s always humble in interviews, and gracious in defeat.

Verstappen on the other hand …..

alwayswrighty · 21/03/2022 07:57

Most of them are young enough to be my child!

Used to love Villeneuve, but he hasn't aged well.

I've watched F1 since I was a young child, so I remember the pitlane fights between rivals. These days the drivers keep their cool a bit better. You've got to remember a lot of preparation, hard work and passion goes into the race weekend and emotions do run high.

Totally agree. I see no arrogance in Lewis only confidence and who can blame him for that.

He always thanks his team and his fans and his facebook and twitter posts show him to be a kind and thoughtful person. He supports lots of charities, particularly childrens ones and has turned up at childrens hospitals in the past.

Despite winning 7 World Championships he has never put the number 1 on his car or seen the need for a gold helmet or gold shoes unlike Verstappen.

mydogisthebest · 21/03/2022 08:08

@HermioneKipper I think comparing Verstappen to a weasel is unfair to weasels. He certainly has a face I would like to punch.

I think the majority of F1 fans think his supposed championship last year was totally unfair including Ted Kravitz. He made a couple of comments but then in his notebook I think he made his feelings on Verstappen very clear

Rowgtfc72 · 21/03/2022 08:13

On my messenger chat Verstappen is known as a ferret faced er... individual.
He actually did nothing wrong last race, last season. He drove within the rules for that race at least. F1 and Massi caused all the problems. But I'll never see him as champion. Yesterday I thought- karmas a bitch isn't it.

No he didn't do anything wrong but I, and many many others, will never see him as champion. He must know that so many people think the result was totally unfair and yet he acts like he is triple world champion.

Apparently the words "Horner" and "karma" were trending on twitter yesterday afternoon!

Supersee · 21/03/2022 09:00

I'm conflicted. It was definitely Masai's fault, not Verstappen's. I'm warming to Lewis a bit but also keep thinking back to earlier on in the race where Lewis overtook Max on the bend and should've been made to give him the position back, instead he was told to give the advantage back, which he apparently didn't do.

Supersee · 21/03/2022 09:01

*Massi

Yes my mate calls him “that rat faced one.”Refuses to use his name 🤣

Yes to be fair it technically wasn’t his fault at the last race but to celebrate that way and to say nothing about Hamilton. Made me furious.

Lewis was very gracious by congratulating him when he must’ve been devastated.

If it had happened the other way round, Horner and Verstappen would have thrown the mother of all tantrums and been screaming about it for months. You know they wouldn’t have been classy and congratulated Lewis/Mercedes.

The fact he didn’t check Lewis was alright after his tire almost drove over Lewis’ head was the end of him in my opinion. Absolute little sh*t

HermioneKipper · 21/03/2022 09:24

We laughed heartily in our house yesterday when the red bulls didn’t finish the race. Would love to have been a fly on the wall in the red bull garage 🤣

Supersee · 21/03/2022 09:26

Or the Mercedes garage!

If I’m thinking of the same thing Max pushed Lewis off the track into the bend when lewis was in the stronger position there so he didn’t have to give back the place
AlmostAJillSandwich · 21/03/2022 09:37

I started watching in 2011, was an instant hulkenberg fan.

ClemFandangoo · 21/03/2022 12:40

@jerometheturnipking

If they didn't have the aura of extreme wealth around them most of them wouldn't get a second glance - I'd go as far as saying most of them are actually quite goofy looking.

I want George's skincare routine though.

This is it really. They are where they are because, money. People crutches footballers but at least must have come from nothing and have made something of themselves. No one ever minds about the millionaire F1 drivers do they - who most only had the opportunity because Daddy has a lot of money and/or connections.

And that Christian Horner guy is an obnoxious little man.

ClemFandangoo · 21/03/2022 12:41

F1 drivers were rather attractive because they were so fearless. You had to be a nutcase in the 70s and 80s to be a F1 driver, lots of untimely demises. They looked like the sort of men who necked a pint, smacked the missus’s arse and then went to dice with death, came home and demanded sex followed by pie and chips.

Confused Sounds lovely

MaxCrashtappen · 21/03/2022 12:47

What a day for the Ferraris!!!

Love them both ♥️

SuitcaseOfWhine · 26/03/2022 22:51

I'm a bit too old for F1 drivers (well the under 30's), but there are some handsome drivers. I really like LeClerc and glad he's doing well. Sainz, Hamilton, Magnusson and Bottas are good looking too. I liked Hulkenberg, Button, webber and Grojean when they were in it too. There is something about Perez, he is handsome but he reminds of Steve from Line of Duty. It's the eyebrows.

I used to have a huge crush on Villeneuve in the 90's. And Fisichella too...

With Verstappen it isn't so much his looks but his personality that is off for me. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he's very committed and serious. I can't imagine his significant other would be at the forefront of his mind much.

I used to think Horner was ok, but I do find him a bit smug.

Would like Hamilton to win this year and bow out well, but I don't think it's going to be his year. Hope Le Clerc wins.
