I think the F1 drivers are really attractive guys.

I got really into F1 the last couple of months and am just in time for the new season. When I started learning their names I couldn't help but notice that the guys are all really really fit, which I'm sure now has influenced my viewing lmao. I feel so wrong saying this, some of them are so young. None of them are difficult to look at though! Anyone else think so? Do you think they're attractive?

Surely they are wrecking the environment? I couldn't get past that.

Copin · 15/03/2022 19:34

I just prefer the height & physique of rugby players
Which is fine, but it doesn’t mean that F1 drivers are short.

SommerTen · 15/03/2022 19:34

I like Hamilton, I think he's matured well both in his looks & his political views.

They are finding the most efficient ways to run the cars and constantly developing that, and those findings trickle down to road cars eventually and make those more efficient. I did think the same as you until I did some research as it does seem like they are wasting resources I agree 😊

@RonCarlos

Ah yes Max, a lovely man. A deserved champion and a gracious loser... Who, when he almost killed Lewis last year, benevolently said "that's what you get if you don't leave any space".

And Christian Horner, attractive? Dear me.

Toto, maybe.

Max as a nice person I can't buy not after what he did to Occon a couple of years ago, literally hunting him down and assaulting him in the press room.

They are all on the arrogant side though, it takes a certain personality type to be in such a dangerous sport.

JenniferBarkley · 15/03/2022 19:53

@Palau123

I didnt find the drivers of Michael Schumacher's generation to be particularly attractive, maybe I eas too young to appreciate them back then but I am all for the Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton generation of F1 drivers.
Michael is my all time favourite, but as a teenage girl I really fancied Giancarlo Fisichella...
JenniferBarkley · 15/03/2022 19:55

@Sadandfedup2

There's something very attractive about Sebastian and I'm not sure what it is. Charles is an undoubtedly handsome man. Can't say the rest do much for me, Nico Hulkenberg and Kimi were nice. Do we think Lewis is gay? I think he is, but considering he's so outspoken with his causes it doesn't fit why he wouldn't come out? Thoughts?
Seb just strikes me as a thoroughly good guy. You know that game fuck, marry, kill? Seb would get marry every time. I'm convinced he's absolutely lovely with a strong moral compass.

The idea of fancying Jacques Villeneuve or Christian Horner Shock

1forAll74 · 15/03/2022 19:56

I only used to like Ayrton Senna years ago.. he seemed like a nice, quiet and reserved guy..

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/03/2022 20:02

Why would it matter if Lewis was gay though these days, it’s his personal life.

As long as their not breaking the law I don’t care what they do off track.

mydogisthebest · 15/03/2022 20:13

Toto is good looking and I find his voice sexy.

Whinging Horner is a horrible creep and not the slightest bit attractive. Him and his Cling On Spice wife annoy the hell out of me.

I have never thought Lewis is gay but I know lots of people think it (mainly his many many haters)

Exactly! I’ve been so surprised how many people like Max Verstappen on this thread.

I’m pleased he is nice to the RB team, but he is a terrible sport. Storming off the podium is one thing, walking away making snide remarks after you’ve just dropped your one tonne car on someone’s head without checking they’re ok - no excuse.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 15/03/2022 20:26

Going off on a tangent here but does anyone follow Roscoe, Lewis's dog, on Instagram?

Whinging Horner is a horrible creep and not the slightest bit attractive. Him and his Cling On Spice wife annoy the hell out of me.

This. Why on earth did they have to interview her at Abu Dhabi last year? With all the controversy why on earth did anyone think she'd have anything interesting or intelligent to add?

On the subject of Horner, I remember someone saying if you shake hands with him, count your fingers afterwards!

CorneliusVetch · 15/03/2022 20:26

I am being unfair here I know as I don’t know the full detail but I’m also a little Shock about Verstappen dating Danil Kyvat’s ex and mother of his child.

BHX3000 · 15/03/2022 20:27

Oh I do have a soft spot for Charles. When you find out his story you love him even more if that’s possible Grin

He’s from Monaco but born to ‘normal’ Monégasque people - not billionaires living in a tax haven. He lost his best friend and godfather after an F1 crash, a couple of years later he lost his dad as a teen and was winning back-to-back F2 races three days later. The mental strength that kid has is amazing. He’s so self-critical and humble as well, you can see his parents did an amazing job and raised him so well.

Him and Max were mortal enemies as children and they had an awesome battle at Silverstone a few years ago. Have never been in comparable cars in F1 but everybody’s hoping for a good Red Bull vs Ferrari duel soon, so we can see those two fighting Grin

I cannot stand Toto or Christian though… George and Lando are cute but you can also see (and hear in what they say) they’re rich boys and for some reason I prefer more… simple…? people. Jacques Villeneuve, on the other hand… if only they were all a little taller Wink

Verstappen · 15/03/2022 20:27

@CorneliusVetch you realise not all team radio is on sky?
Max knew full well lewis was fine for two reasons, one it was communicated via team comms and two Lewis was desperately trying to reverse from under the car .

BHX3000 · 15/03/2022 20:31

I also love how people keep bringing up the Monza or Jeddah crashes, but they forget Lewis sending Max into the barrier at Silverstone. And then celebrating on the podium whilst Max was in hospital (yes, he was fine, but you get my point).

None of them are perfect, plus Max has literally been raised by abusers. He’s young, he will (hopefully!) mature with time, just like Lewis has - he isn’t pulling the same ones he used to pull ten years ago… lots of people hated him then too and weren’t impressed with his behaviour.

raspberryjamchicken · 15/03/2022 20:31

I saw this thread and immediately thought of Charles Leclerc. If I were 20 years younger.....

Are you saying you think that what Max did on that occasion was the way a “nice” person behaves?

Sorry but I think it was disgusting, bad sportsmanship at best and pretty unpleasant at worst.

Do you defend him for getting physical with Esteban Ocon?

CorneliusVetch · 15/03/2022 20:36

bhx3000 I wasn’t impressed by the younger Lewis Hamilton I have to say. Some of the tantrums he threw were bang out of order. As you say, he seems to have matured.

Verstappen · 15/03/2022 20:41

I'm saying you've only heard what the commentary wants you to hear.

I'm not going to be drawn into the Max/Lewis arguments.

Carpedimum · 15/03/2022 20:44

Why is height an issue? Some of the most attractive men I’ve ever seen have been shorter than average. As far as F1 goes, I’m not really into any of the drivers, but Toto Wolff is very attractive & so is the ex Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul.
Christian Horner is an odious twerp who clearly thinks he’s gorgeous, the way he ditched his first wife for Geri Halliwell said all you need to know about him.

CorneliusVetch · 15/03/2022 20:45

Well ok but I was quoting someone else and you replied to me on the max/Lewis point. I can’t see any context that makes his behaviour on that occasion acceptable, you disagree and that’s fine - we can get back to discussing how fit Carlos Sainz is!
Verstappen · 15/03/2022 20:48

we can get back to discussing how fit Carlos Sainz is!

Now that I can get on board with.
Standing joke in our house that after DTS last year the governmwnt should have gotten Sainz to make all its announcements because he managed to make the word 'coronavirus' sound sexy 😂

ihearttc · 15/03/2022 20:49

I absolutely love Lando, as a person!! He just seems so genuinely lovely and funny. I also have a bit of a thing for Charles Leclerc, he is beautiful!!
Can’t stand Max or Hamilton I’m afraid. We love F1 in our house. DH took DS2 to Silverstone last year and I will never forget the excitement in his voice (he was 10) when he called to say Lando and George waved to him, he was decked head to toe in McLaren merchandise including a huge flag!
I think they are great people to have as role models for young kids as well.

CoffeeWithCheese · 15/03/2022 21:02

@Leftbutcameback

I think I preferred the retired ones, especially Mark Webber! I know someone who is a racing driver (not F1) and they work hard to keep fit, and keep weight down (healthily), so being naturally smaller build or not too tall must help that.
I was a huge Webber fan - cannot get as engrossed into the current batch of them.
