I think the F1 drivers are really attractive guys.

I got really into F1 the last couple of months and am just in time for the new season. When I started learning their names I couldn't help but notice that the guys are all really really fit, which I'm sure now has influenced my viewing lmao. I feel so wrong saying this, some of them are so young. None of them are difficult to look at though! Anyone else think so? Do you think they're attractive?

Not bothered about the drivers but there's something about Christian Horner....

He manages to be smug, odious, sinister and distinctly lacking in humour, all at the same time. Quite an achievement.

Makes me laugh, he comes into the canteen at lunch if he's at the factory, he'll grab a tray and park himself with someone random for a chat whilst he eats. Checo does the same though to be fair, very down to earth.
Driven guys, but they know it takes an army to win and they merely lead it.

I think I preferred the retired ones, especially Mark Webber! I know someone who is a racing driver (not F1) and they work hard to keep fit, and keep weight down (healthily), so being naturally smaller build or not too tall must help that.

I like the principals. They are so manly and fit and choc full of testosterone. Not something I really like in real life but within the F1 world they are lovely.

Yes I think smaller (and certainly not above average) build is key, and there likely is an upper limit on height (the tallest drivers are around 6’1 or 6’2).

But generally, they aren’t short.

Same for jockeys really - jump jockeys aren’t all that short but need to keep weight down

I was a bit dubious but he's proved himself. The Mexican Minister of Defence 😂 It's a shame Danny Ric threw his hissy fit and left, I think he'd have flourished given another season. Albon was too much too soon I think, though again he's coming into his own now. His work last year undoubtedly helped Max win the championship, he spent hours in the Sim at the factory running every scenario. I'd like to see him do well at Williams.

No. They're mostly very, very slim and often quite short. Not attractive to me.

No, most jump jockeys are shorter than average- they tend to be between 4”10 and 5”6. I do remember seeing a news piece about a young jockey who, at the time, was the tallest in the UK at 5”11 and how he had to basically starve himself to compete.

The average height of an F1 driver is about 5”9, with the typical range being about 5”6 - 6”1.

@verstappen Jos does seem to come across as a bit controlling and pushy, but no idea how true that is. I love Max's no bullshit attitude. He's there to drive and to win, and has no interest in any of the media attention or a celebrity life away from F1, which I really admire him for.

When George Russell filled in for Lewis Hamilton last season he struggled because he was too tall for the car. He also ended up wearing race boots that were a size too small so he could fit them into the pedal gap.
He's 6ft 1" and Hamilton 5ft 9" so it was a bit of a squeeze.

I absolutely love his stance on Drive To Survive. After they made out a fictional feud between him and Danny Ric he refused to take part, basically stating if he doesn't quote he can't be misquoted.

DTS is a great show but very skewed. This season they tried to invent something between Lando and Danny. Sometimes you can tell the audio is from another race entirely as the engine sounds don't match the image. It's very soap opera and I'm surprised more drivers don't pull their participation.

No, that's the figure for all jockeys so doesn't differentiate between flat and jump.
