I think the F1 drivers are really attractive guys.

I got really into F1 the last couple of months and am just in time for the new season. When I started learning their names I couldn't help but notice that the guys are all really really fit, which I'm sure now has influenced my viewing lmao. I feel so wrong saying this, some of them are so young. None of them are difficult to look at though! Anyone else think so? Do you think they're attractive?

I absolutely love Lando, as a person!!

Lando Carlrissian had a starship, not an F1 car.

Amazingly he's not even named after that Lando. His mum has never seen Star Wars apparently.

When I was younger I definitely had a crush on a few of them! It went away after a while because its difficult to admire a drivers physique when you're too worried about whether one of them is going to push your driver off, haha. Objectively I think Leclerc is model-esque, though. The others don't do it for me, personally!

Teadrinker11 · 15/03/2022 21:25

I think Max seems like a decent guy imo. Hot headed and rash but never get awfully bad vibes from him.

Kimi yes. Very good looking. Being the ice man though lmao.

Leclerc was actually the one that got me a bit obsessed with it. He is really good looking. That feels so wrong and he's only two years younger than me lol.
@Verstappen they do indeed. Max comes across as being lovely though. He reminds me of dh with his never give up attitude and lack of bullshit.
Max comes across as lovely?? Have you ever watched F1? Any F1?!

Sadly I think Christian Horner and Helmet Marko have led Max down a dark path into a parallel universe where anything Red Bull related is angelic and everyone else (Mercedes especially) is the spawn of the devil. Even their double standards have double standards. Max was young and easily influenced by the people lacking integrity unfortunately, which is hardly surprising after his upbringing.

I think a lot of drivers are like that. Driven and sometimes rash on track, lovely in person.

Look at Schumacher, he could make some bloody awful moves back in the day, Villeneuve too and Hamilton has had his share to name but three.
You don't get world championships by saying 'after you' into a corner.

Back in the day drivers were allowed to race and it caused some epic scraps that were brilliant to watch. The Villeneue/Schumacher fights were a sight to behold. Then the FIA kind of put a stop to it with penalties and warnings which diluted it a bit.

This last season has seen a shift back to the days of real, elbows out racing and people who don't necessarily remember the battles of yesteryear are probably a bit surprised by it.

This season, with newer cars and a potentially bunched field, could be an amazing year.

@phishy

Hmm, not for me. Just googled the top 10 drivers of 2022 and couldn't see anyone notable. Who were you thinking?
Leclerc definitely. Sainz is pretty handsome. Kimi Raikkonen definitely. Ricciardo plus his personality. Lewis Hamilton is really handsome too imo, aged really well.

@Clarabe1

Back in the day when men were men (said tongue in cheek!) F1 drivers were rather attractive because they were so fearless. You had to be a nutcase in the 70s and 80s to be a F1 driver, lots of untimely demises. They looked like the sort of men who necked a pint, smacked the missus’s arse and then went to dice with death, came home and demanded sex followed by pie and chips. Lewis Hamilton they weren’t.
That description is so unattractive though 😂
HundredMilesAnHour · 15/03/2022 21:36

@CorneliusVetch

I am being unfair here I know as I don’t know the full detail but I’m also a little Shock about Verstappen dating Danil Kyvat’s ex and mother of his child.
I thought the same although maybe she's a F1 groupie and/or has Daddy issues given who her father is. Or just prefers world champions.

I don't think it reflects well on either of them as she seemed to move on from the Torpedo to Crashstappen very quickly. Who knows the truth but the optics don't appear flattering.

HundredMilesAnHour · 15/03/2022 21:40

For Carlos (and Mark Webber) fans, this is good value entertainment:

Teadrinker11 · 15/03/2022 21:45

@HermioneKipper

I don’t fancy any of them. Except maybe Toto!

Love drive to survive! Lewis all the way in our house.

Can’t stand Christian Horner. He’s unbearably smug and seems to live for winding everyone up. Geri’s constant appearances are irritating too.

Ricciardo seems dumb as a post. Grinning moron

Nikita and Stroll are unbearable. As are their fathers

I'm not familiar with Toto and Horner. Need to brush up on my knowledge. Only familiar with the current guys. I don't know what to make of Mazepin, I watched a few interviews of the 2020 grid and Stroll was the only one I got vibes off that I didn't like. No clue why but every single one of them seemed nice enough but something about Stroll didn't rub me off the right way. Might have been just me though.

Raychelle · 15/03/2022 21:51

Never mind the drivers… have you seen Toto Wolff!? Absolute DILF [grin}

Eve · 15/03/2022 21:56

Toto and Horner Are the RB and Mercedes’ team principals, not previous drivers.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 15/03/2022 22:14

Apart from jenson button (yum), mark webber (double yum) and Paul Di Resta (triple yum) the rest can go drive round in circles for two hours!! Oh wait.... 😳

TokyoSushi · 15/03/2022 22:22

Well one person that definitely isn't short is the absolutely fabulous Toto Wolff

Christian Horner does seem to have small man syndrome through, he's such a chippy little bugger, he does make me laugh though, he complains about absolutely everything and Mercedes live inside his head rent free!

DeoForty · 15/03/2022 22:41

A little word of warning, they all look completely normal sized when standing next to each other, but if an averagely sized man is released into the paddock, you become acutely aware that they are all dinky. Which, if it's your thing, is fine.

Personally I feel Kimi Raikkonen's departure has lowered the attractiveness of the sport by a significant chunk!

DeoForty · 15/03/2022 22:47

I believe the Mark Webbers and Jenson Buttons were outliers in terms of height btw. There are exceptions, but not for the slinky hips. I fear my thighs would do a racing driver like a set of nutcrackers on a brazil.

BigMamaFratelli · 15/03/2022 22:48

I'd quite like stroll to rub me the right way

In their era weight (and therefore height) was less of an issue although Mark Webber suffered in his last year of racing as they brought in stricter weight rules then. He said at the time that it was a contributing factor to his retirement as he was tired of having to starve himself and he thought it was the end for taller drivers. His height was supposedly a reason why Hulkenberg was passed over a seat in several of the top teams. Things have been relaxed a little again now (not by a huge amount) but the taller drivers still look like they could be blown away in a gust of wind. Just look at Ocon. He's pretty much a flesh covered skeleton.
Thewayshetalks · 15/03/2022 23:11

Kevin Magnussen (dribbling)
Also the guy who left in 2020/2021 Nico hulkenburg mmmmmm

Kimi is handsome to be fair. I like how he's no nonsense too, what you see is what you get. Some people probably can't stand that, he's got the nickname ice man for a reason which is understandable but I like his honesty.

Button was 5”11. A quarter of the current drivers are that height or taller.

He was taller than average but nothing close to an outlier.
