£50 includes the baby shower room hire, present (collective) and transport costs to get there, as it's around an hour from mine.

No.

Jennifer2r · 12/03/2022 09:12

I wouldn't go to a baby shower if you paid me £50, hope that helps.

custardbear · 12/03/2022 09:12

Blimey, why not just do it at someone's house?

Soubriquet · 12/03/2022 09:12

No. If I’m invited for a party, I don’t expect having to pay to attend

FujiIX · 12/03/2022 09:12

No
Never been to one, they seem a bit grabby to me

Orgasmagorical · 12/03/2022 09:12

No.

Donewithit888 · 12/03/2022 09:12

Wow that was quick!
Confirms what I was thinking really

Absolutely not!
Is it your baby shower?

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 12/03/2022 09:13

I wouldn't pay £50 to attend anything other than a wedding

Begrateful · 12/03/2022 09:13

No!

lemongreentea · 12/03/2022 09:13

not a chance

JessCat75 · 12/03/2022 09:13

No, the hosts should be paying for the room hire, really cheeky to ask guests to pay.

EmmaC78 · 12/03/2022 09:13

No, I wouldn't. It's too much at the moment to spend that sort of money on a baby shower. Baby showers aren't really my thing anyway.

LawnFever · 12/03/2022 09:14

No, why are you being asked to cover the room hire? If whoever is organising it can’t afford the room hire it should be at someone’s house.

Parfait · 12/03/2022 09:14

I would

Idontevenknow · 12/03/2022 09:14

Also a no unless it was a really close friend or family member, but I wouldn't be thrilled about it

FujiIX · 12/03/2022 09:14

@Jennifer2r
You’ve said what we were all thinking but were all too polite to say 🤣

Hoardasurass · 12/03/2022 09:14

No way would I pay anything towards the cost of a baby shower that I was invited to and the mum to be is a massive CF for asking

Elmo230885 · 12/03/2022 09:15

Just to pile on, I'd like to add my NO.

OhMygodddd · 12/03/2022 09:15

Is it going to be an absolutely amazing and spectacular event with lots of lovely food, decoration and a good time? If so I’d think about it, but anything less than amazing I wouldn’t pay to go to a baby shower

AlisonDonut · 12/03/2022 09:16

I'd pay to not go.

Toottooot · 12/03/2022 09:17

No, not this week, next week or any other week.

YouHaveYourFathersBreasts · 12/03/2022 09:17

No way, even if I could afford it right now. You don’t invite people to a party and then charge them to attend.

shabbalabba · 12/03/2022 09:17

Not a hope!!

stevalnamechanger · 12/03/2022 09:18

Hmmm yes if that includes food

Also if you back out now it will cost everyone else more so you are unreasonable
