Tuesday as a middle name?

DH wants to give our daughter the middle name 'Tuesday' (won't go into the reasons why). I actually don't hate it but don't love it either but I know it would make him very happy and his parents. I just think will people think we're mental using Tuesday as a middle name? Like teachers etc? I feel it's very alternative.

Her name would be Jessica Tuesday Jenkins.

Why would people need to know? I think it's nice anyway

I LOVE it. I always said if I had a girl I'd love to call her Tuesday- as a first name. DH was not keen, but it never needed discussion as I've got 3 boys. My eldest will be 18 this year and I've still not heard of one. Go for it.

Just no. Other kids will find out and tease her for it. It isn't worth it just to please your DH and his parents.

I’d be more thrown by the combination of Jessica Jenkins, it’s quite Marvel comic book - ie Jessica Jones. I think Tuesday as a middle name is cool, you can do whatever you want with middle names as they so rarely come up!

I think it is cute and only a little quirky. Brings to mind actress Tuesday Weld. Your DH has good taste in names.

I think you'd need to have a connection to Tuesday for it to work e.g. they were born on a Tuesday. Really hoping it's not because they were conceived on a Tuesday. No child wants to know that.

There was an actress in the 60s called Tuesday Weld.

I'm afraid I think it's a bit of a ridiculous name but I meet lots of people with quite ridiculous first names and it doesn't affect my life. Second name you can get away with it I guess

I do agree that the JJ name sounds like a superhero...that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I think Tuesday is pretty great, but the alliterative first and last name always feels like a mistake. I rejected quite a few names for that (double-barrelled surname so two letters we couldn't use).

I love it. If it means a lot to him I can't see why you wouldn't. Very few people use their middle names. I know several of my friends have them but I can only remember one.

I went to school with a girl whose first name was Tuesday. Ridiculous name, I mean, why Tuesday and not Thursday or Saturday.

Went to school with a girl who had Tuesday as a middle name. Noone thought it was weird, onyl cool and kinda quirky. My dad always referred to her as Tuesday because he like it so much (with her permission of course)..it was almost like a nice little nickname that also was her middle name

I love it and no she doesn’t have to be born on a Tuesday for it to work. I have a Holly and she wasn’t born at Christmas 🤷‍♀️
